You can do the solo challenges with other people bro. Look at the videos of me doing them with another player in co-op, If you didn't realize it yet.

I had a couple of times where the "friendly" AI blew it for me on one of the recent challenges. Tried to keep them out of the way (or so I thought).

Has anyone completed Challenge 2 in solo play? I'm about to give up on this!!

Goresh, Spawn Army trucks (if you have them). They are the big Army personnel transport trucks. If you dont have them then spawn the biggest vehicles you can. Place them so that you funnel the enemy to a choke point. I ended up placing around 6-7 trucks. Then right before you start it bring in hired guns and use a diversion as well. I used the .50 cal pistol to blast them down. gl
