Wouldn't a more reactionary dedicated enforce defensive playstyle. Reactionary playstyle is fueled by you playing off of your opponent moves

Vast majority of vocal players wanted less defensive meta. Which is why the devs are making big changes to the game.

it's not like reactions will be less important. We're just making it so not everything is reactable in order to force a more active approach.

and as for the 4v4 thing, i have never understood why duels have always been seemingly the main focus, i personally never play duels, if i want to play a 1on1 fighter, i have plenty of them to play.
i don't want for honor to be a traditional fighter, though that seems to be the way it's going, with more and more mix ups and guessing games being added rather have being more reactionary, i want a medieval battle. not soul caliber

so was glad to see they plan to add a new 4v4 mode in the future.
i'm hoping there will be equal attention between both.

The game has many mechanics to help in 4v4 like the revenge mode as the stuff, asking for it to be also balanced around 4v4 is mere stupid. Also the game you're referring to are very consoles friendly if not exclusive, not many things on pc.

If you want a medieval brawler there are plenty of them : chivalry, M&B, M&B2 and the such.

Not to be the guy to just come in and act a bit weird, you know like that one cousin with the lazy eye that kinda creeps you out. But, you still hang with him because you`re blood right?

Anyways, I play on PS4 and although I might not be the highest level of player I feel that I still play enough "skilled" players to have encountered and faced the defensive meta more than once. However, on a console the defensive meta is really not that bad, it can`t even begin to be compared to PC. In light of this, I feel that the game continues to "adjust" the game for PC, while the vast majority of the player base falls short with even faster characters and tighter windows to face.

It might be that I am just bad or it might be that my reactions are just slow. But, I´m quite good at parrying even lights from most of the assassin`s and the rest of the characters, but, stuff like Valk light chain, or even more so the sweep is something that I have to make a read or rather a prediction, because if I try and react I can`t get away and will be swept.

Now as you know there are quite a few move´s that are like that on a console, that you can react to just fine on PC. So hence my point is to maybe not continue adjusting the game for PC and maybe consider having one console version of the update that takes 30 FPS into account and one for those players that play on PC.

I can agree that the turtling is not nearly as bad on console as is on pc. as the number of people who are that good are probably not high. But I do believe console should still get most of these changes. as I don't believe so far any change made has negatively impacted console only. other than time snap removal. But that's hurting even pc players.

    Wait, what ?!
Do you mean there are no real Fighting Games on PC ? Are you under influence ?

    SF is on PC.
    Tekken is on PC
The main KOF episodes are available on PC.
The Garou : mark of the wolves reedition is avalaible on PC.
Injustice and MK are on PC.
So are Doujins games like Skullgirls.
And emulation on top of that, to play every fighting games that were never released on home systems.

So if you say that there are no real fighting games on PC, you are very, very out of touch

After playing chivalry a long while back I always hoped a big company would jump on that idea so I was more than stoked to find out about for honor a week prior to open beta and was hooked. Chivalry was fun but really janky gameplay and etremely long update times.

This game is stunning by comparison and the fighting far more enjoyable in every way. Like raime, I'm in it for the long haul and really hope that after season 4 they get more creative freedom to expand on this game. I often wonder what this game could be like if it had a modding community. Some of the most enjoyable games ive ever played were usually mods of base games.

Indeed ... embarassing to say the least

Ubi, stop thinking that you developed a real 1v1 fighting game.
    You didn't.

No real 1v1 fighting game player consider For honor as a legit fighting game. Not a single one.
Some time ago I even asked their opinion to some of the most well known french Vs fighting game streamers (who play the games mentionned in my previous post, LordDvD, ex SF4 champion, Genius, ex Tekken champion, Ken Bogard, most famous french fighting game commentator, and some others) : Do you consider that For Honor is a legit fighting game and would you consider playing it ?

The answer was unanimous : No

And then, this weekend tournament. Not only being boring as death, but really embarrassing.
    It was a shame.
I don't even know how to react anymore. Watching someone or something failing so hard is almost painful.
