Looks like the game is a ways out. I was expecting a wrap up on the "Trials Garage" on Ubisoft's end. 3 topics over a far too long 3 months, then nothing.
It's an odd way to communicate...the no communication thing. I'm old fashion like that.
The guy on the bike at the beginning of the video doesn't mean anything...just part of the ad.
Are you sure the bike at the start doesn't mean anything? :P
I heard through the grapevine that the next trials game may have something to do with a world tour of real life locations. If this is true, the intro to the video actually could very well be a hint to the new trials game.
firstly, it uses the term "On the road" which is a commonly used term when talking about some sort of tour. Secondly, the location of the video appears to be set in an iconic real life location. The type of location you would expect a world tour to visit. Finally, its a bike in an Ubisoft trailer when we know a new trials game is right around the corner (or 30 corners).
I would be VERY surprised if any of the clips in that video are just arbitrary clips that don't reference an upcoming game, so unless that clip references the Crew 2 or something, im fairly confident that it is a Trials reference...
Let the world tour commence! XD
Edit: turns out the bike part is in fact a reference to The Crew 2, but im still hopeful... xD
That fact that there are no competitors means there's no rush for them to release it. To be honest, I'm glad they're taking the time with it. I wasn't around for the Fusion release but I've heard stories that it was pretty abysmal. I'd rather they release a good solid game than release a broken game that needs 20 patches to 'get good'. No doubt the bad release of Fusion impacted sales figures. No one likes a broken game.
I have faith in Redlynx. I'm confident it'll be worth the wait.I do admit though that even a tiny bit of an update on the situation wouldn't go amiss. Just a little wink and a nod would suffice at this point.
Devils: There is always pressure to release titles...competition or not. The development costs continue going up the more time spent...right? Companies have quotas and deadlines. Competition in the market wouldn't matter here. To add, because a game is in development for longer...doesn't equate to a bug free game. Even Evo had a good share to them...and all that was echoed was "when it's done it's done". There will always be plenty of patches in a game, as it's the modern day standard in development. Nothing wrong with this as they continually improve the title.
It would be nice to have a functional TC/MP upon release for sure. No wink and nod coming...maybe a long shot at Gamescom. I wouldn't be surprised come to think of it. With a larger development team...2 years is possible for sure. Blood Dragon was complete by June 2016...so almost a year and half later right?
Joe: Eno is gone? I remember when he had some possible information on the release last September. I was confused at how they couldn't get some basic information together for their hardcore fanbase. Even if you figure the forum has 100 people consistent...compared to 4 million sales...I can't say we play a big role...haha
Uhhh...I guess it's 2018 folks.
We had a glimmer of hope...instead its open world nonsense...Crew 2....yikes. I bet the next Trials is open world...who wants to bet? It's about mass appeal.
I like the idea of progressing to different parts of the world or something along those lines, but please no riding from town to town and entering events.
Trying to embed a story line in Trials would be worse than the unicorn.

Onesimple...if you don't mind me saying so...I think you should head the public relations team at Redlynx. With an offer like that...who would refuse?Originally Posted by onesimpleclik Go to original post
I recently won some acorns....800 of them. The rush is just now wearing off.
I'm really confused about what's going on at Red Lynx. It's now been more than 3 years since they released Fusion, and we haven't even heard a thing about the next game. We all know there is a lead up to a new release, so assuming they don't announce a new Trials until early 2018, that means it gets released in late 2018? This is a long development cycle for a game like this. It's rather strange.
