I think monk characters should have 2 weapons: Twin hook swords for close range and a staff/spear for long range. Their charged heavy should be a Chi fire ball blast which is unblockable like shugokis but should be .5-1s longer and deals slightly less damage than shugokis charged heavy. Chi fireball blast should also have stun effect to it.
Weapon Stances
Twin hook sword pros: berserker-like combos, speed and power
Cons: short-ranged, attacks drains more stamina
Staff/spear pros: Kensei-like strikes in closing the distance(light attacks), nobushi-like pokes(heavies), top heavy head-bash stun, attacks drain less stamina
Cons: weak damage output, simple shugoki-like combos,
As for the feats please add levitation as his 4th feat and the monk can fly to top of buildings or he can end his feat time by using an flying instant kill attack from the air (would be cool right?)
One of the 3rd feats should be a throwing knife
2nd feat should be arrow sleeve (another projectile)
1st feat idk ??
Monk as a character should have weak defense and low health pool like the shinobi. *so much for cloth robe armor lol*
Not that it really holds any relevance but the Native Americans I don't feel if they accurately would blend in with the Norsemen not to mention the Norsemen didn't like the Native Americans they called them skrealings which meant ugly people/ little men/ yell or shouting people.Originally Posted by JuiceManDrew Go to original post
I could see it now and it gives me Chuckles to see the North's response to the observation of Native Americans
And they fought against each other as well. I think Native Americans again would deserve their own faction. To stand on their own because culturally there's no link and as a matter of fact they fought. Now granted these were the accounts of the indigenous people of Greenland but still they were Native Americans
Now before its said "they dont have to be historically accurate".
I would find it highly ironic that they put two cultures that fought against each other on the same side not to mention their cultures are vastly different. Quite frankly I think the Native Americans were put in the game again they would need to stand on their own because they were a very independent people as it is and they didn't take no b*******.
Again Highlander culture it can be said that they descend from and their culture from Norsemen because the Norsemen inhabited Northern what is now the United Kingdom.
As well you can also find Norse DNA in the scottish populations.
Anyway I do like how they did it though as far as the Highlander on the side note they made the Highlander appreciated to stand on their own yet they made them linked and it's rather accurate that they did which is pleasing to me.
I think it would be nice to see Saxons, the rus, and the Indo-European Celtic tribes and the all out expansion on the Viking side with that being said also pulling inspiration from the clothing from the vendel era.
And again it would be kind of awesome to see a Saxon speaking Old English.
Not to shoot down your idea because I think it would be nice to have Native Americans in the story I just think it would trouble my immersion immensely with the knowledge of what I know to see them slung in the Norse faction.
Like it or not when it comes to the knights the Centurion and Gladiator are still part of an Indo-European culture. And that helps as far as immersion believe it or not.
As well I hope there is a ronin. Not that I would use him but it still would be an interesting character to have in the game. He would really compliment the samurai faction.
If they use the Hunter and Huntress I hope they have use the Oskorei
the great wild hunt narrative.
That would be awesome!!!
And considering it has its ties to Odin and it is an Indo-European culture story. It would fit in with the Vikings or better yet the Norsemen.
Also the appeal of somebody not actually having a job of warfare and combat but they're using a rogue like character that has hunting skills that will be applied towards the Battleground that's absolutely awesome if you throw in the oskorei narrative. In my opinion that would be a five-star background when it comes to character creation.
I really appreciate what they did with the Gladiators example when it comes to the story how he wants to be the best so he's taking his art of battle from sport to war which is just phenomenal I love that idea who ever thought of that idea I would love to give them a high five.
Storytelling is very important and when it comes to emerging they walk a very hard rigorous line because if they get too fictional they lose the appeal and immersion for some people. Like myself.
Either way these are just my opinions
