    More nerfs ... crafting materials?

So, Community Managers, according to the Patch notes for 1.7, crafting materials will now be shared across all four characters. So my questions on this are: -

    (a) Will the maximum number of crafting materials (currently 999) be raised for console? ; and

    (b) If not and I for example have 999 tools on all four of my characters (a total of 3996) will this be reduced to just 999 after the patch?

If the answer to (a) is 'No!' And the answer to be (b) is 'Yes!' This is exactly why people say "For ****'s sake!" and just leave.

Why do you think that we asked for Blueprints to be available to all characters? We have spent months religiously doing weekly assignments and daily assignments on all of our characters to build up materials that we are unable to use without purchasing multiple copies of blueprints for all of our characters. If we are crafting an Inventive backpack on Character 1 and run out of materials, we want/need the option to be able to go to a second character and continue crafting.

You give us that and in the next breath you make all of our materials shared so that once we have used up 999 tools, that's it? ... for all four characters? Seriously?

Please tell me I'm wrong. Please tell me that your intention is to remove the 999 max cap and we will all login after the update to see 3996 of each crafting material shared between each character (assuming that we are maxed out).

Why did you even impose a 999 cap on consoles? It's not a storage issue. Crafting materials are virtual resources, they are just numbers. I have been told the cap doesn't even exist on PC. Is that true? Because if it is, you are just screwing over console players again and have been doing so for quite some time.

The cap does exist on PC as well. An absolutely ridiculous decision now that you consider it in terms of 4 characters having filled up resources. I myself never created a secondary character until recently, just to get more crafting materials backed up. Now this patch comes in and screws it up.

On the PC PTS the 999 cap was raised, I'm not sure what the new cap was but I think 4K? Been awhile so I can't remember. So you should have nothing to worry about, as I would think it the same for console, seeing how we both has 999 cap before, and whoever told you that PC didn't have a cap, was mistaken.

I also seem to remember that on the pts the cap was raised significantly. So here's hoping that it was, otherwise I would take this as a punishment for the players that took the time to stock up across multiple toons.

That would make sense then. Four characters at 999 each is 3996 so a cap of 4K evens things up. Maybe the guy that told me there was no cap on PC saw a PTS video from You Tube with that 4K limit. Anyway if this is the case, then it should all be good. Thanks for taking the time to clarify.

It does make sense to have the change carry over from PTS to the live game. The Intel cap was raised to 400 as well. What doesn't make sense is why the cap increase does not have a mention... not in the 1.7 patch notes nor in the PTS notes.
