HELLO GOOD PEOPLE! I have opened a ticket about the problem listed below, I got some solutions but none have worked. I am posting this here, hoping that maybe someone dealt with this issue and solved it. Here it is, the saga of my misfortune:

To Whom It May Concern,

I am sorry to say I find myself stuck after just buying and installing the game [Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands] because of the first screen that says: "Load Profile. Load failed. The saved game appears to be damaged and cannot be used. {OK}"
Why should a saved game be expected since I just installed the game for the first time?
I press OK and there comes a second screen that says: "Attempting to restore network connection. The game will resume once the connection has been re-established. Please wait. {Quit game}"
My internet works just fine, but I waited until I got older, to no avail. I hope there is an easy fix for this blunder.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues on your first Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands launch. There are a few steps you can attempt if the issue persists.

1. Reinstall Uplay and run it as an admin:

You can do this by right clicking the folder then clicking 'Copy' then navigating to where you wish to store the backup

Uninstall the Uplay launcher from your PC from the 'Installed Programs' icon in your computer's control panel.

During the installation there will be check boxes to 'Uninstall Uplay games' and 'Delete local save game files'. Leave these options unchecked otherwise you will have to re-download and install your games again and may lose your saved games.

Click on the following link to download the Uplay installer:

Once the Uplay client is reinstalled please do the following:-

Go to the following location - C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher

- Right click UPC.exe
- Select properties
- Switch to the compatibility tab and tick run this program as an administrator.
- Click Apply and then OK.

Once you have done this please try and test the original issue.

2. Please verify the game files integrity
To verify the game files, we recommend running the Uplay client as administrator to do this.
- Launch Uplay.
- Select the 'Games' tab at the top of the window.
- Click on the game tile within your games library.
- Select "Properties".
- Under "Local Files", choose the "Verify Files" option.

If an issue is found you will be given the option to Repair, click Repair. After repairing the issue, please verify the game again until no issues are found. When this has been completed you can then try the game again.

3. If the issue persists, please uninstall and reinstall Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
