Whats going on with this hero? Is he going to get reworked because currently hes kinda stupid... I'm not gonna say hes OP because i don't think hes good i just think hes annoying. In a game where you want to get away from the turtle meta this hero does one of three things... Full Block, Shield bash, and one attack too follow up the shield bash. He is literally the epitome of the turtle meta (so is warlord but that's a diff talk for a diff day) for anyone who doesn't have a side Dash GB/Attack Conq is pretty toxic. Also mutiple Conqs just shield bashing you into a corner is the worst. I mostly run into Conqs as bots now since the hero is so unpopular and my god are the Conq bots absolute cancer. I love this hero's look but his play style might be one of the silliest to play vs and I would strongly consider changing him.
my understanding is the community has 2 different views on him.
One side believes he's good. just annoying to fight and boring to play as.
and the other side that thinks he's trash and needs a major overhaul to be usable.
Conq was largely not effected playstyle wise with the PTR 2 test that happened recently. But he'll no longer have superior block in OOS. and for the most part be a lot safer to play if the ptr 2 changes drop mostly as what we saw.
The devs stated they wanted to wait till the defensive meta patch was fully out and watch how it effects conq before making any huge changes to him.
I think that post defensive meta patch he should lose the ability to get a GB off of blocking a heavy. he'd be one of the only people who can still stop combos by having superior block to begin with. and him being able to all guard feint to do insane things makes him strong enough offensively.
Beyond that I think they should potentially find a way to make his neutral bash a bit more punishable.
I think personally they need to give him one or two more viable offensive options. Currently, all players seem to do is shield bash and full block feint in order to bait a parry, then they get a tiny bit of damage. Against anyone who isn't good at offense (I play Lawbringer mostly) it becomes a turtle-fest and a poke-fest. No significant damage is ever done and the match ends in a boring fashion. Either way, losing to a conquerer doesn't feel fair, as their side dash>shield bash is extremely quick and difficult to punish unless you have special guard break properties or dodge attacks.
In general, there's only one way to play him, and only one way to play against him. He never needs to parry heavy attacks, so feinting is pointless unless you're an assassin and can attack quickly.
He needs more, so that shield bash can be taken down a notch (I believe it needs to have a longer recovery time so that it's actually punishable by the slower cast of characters) and he can still have viable options on the offense. Currently, he's boring to play and boring to fight against. Those are the telltale signs that he needs a serious rework.
Also, he needs to not get a free guard break on blocking a heavy. That's silly, as it completely negates his weakness of not being able to feint, since you never need to parry. In fact, because of the full block feint, he technically CAN still feint, it's just more complex and it actually is way more effective than normal feints. The Full block stance feint should not exist.
He has cheesy moves and an extremely powerful defense that lends to boring gameplay. Without abusing the full block feint, conquerer players will find it very difficult to win against decent opponents.

The part about full block stance feigning is especially insane. You say it's "way more" effective than a regular feint? (lol) How so when it delays your stamina regeneration for 5 seconds?
