Hi everyone!
Sorry for my bad english, I'm using google translate. I hope you understand
I'm trying out with the map editor recently and I have some doubts.
The game buys it by steam downloading it. The first is that when trying maps I see that in the editor works one way and once up from another. The maps that I have made are Fun Kill With bees, MJ1-Fun with Bees. I have them that the enemy dies with 1 shot
In them I use honeycombs on all sides with the intention of using them as a weapon when firing them. Well, when I test the map from the editor and shoot the bees with enemies nearby, they die when they bite. Once I upload the map and play it online, the bees do not kill the enemies but I do. I do not know if anyone can help me, since the fun of the map is the use of bees.
Another question is how to delete maps that I have already uploaded. I delete them from the editor folder but when I enter the online game they are still uploaded and I have some repeated ones.
And the last is if the game is downloaded steam can use the mood editor tools for the map editor, I see that as it comes the publisher can not put unique weapons or helicopters. The installations of these tools have to be done in the installation folder of the game, when purchased and downloaded steam I have no installation folder on my pc.
Also mention that AI has little AI in terms of aggressiveness and reaction when they detect you. They take a long time to ask for reprieves and I can walk quietly among a lot of enemies, who even detecting me do not attack or ask for reinforcements (I made sure to have the invisibility deactivated on the map). This I have seen playing the map from the editor and online from the game.
I hope you can help me to solve these doubts
Greetings and thanks
I downloaded your map and opened it in the editor, you can not delete published maps once they are uploaded, one reason the enemies do not attack could be that you have too many animals or enemies on the map,I have noticed that can happen when i put too many animals or rebels in a map,the enemies just ignores me, try to remove some of the bees and see what happens.I do not mod but i believe you have to have a special editor for the mods I could be wrong. Maybe you know this but you can test your map without uploading it,go to mail menu ,click on map editor, click on all my maps that way you should be able to see how the maps works..There is a Facebook group called Far Cry mapeditors for both PC and console, with a lot of talented helpful people as members, some of them have several maps in the Top ranked list on PC,not sure on console.
Thank you for the quick response. I am going to tryOriginally Posted by Remo99 Go to original post
On PC you can choose to ignore the budgets. However, that doesn't mean anything goes. You can double the budget without too many problems but if you go much over that you will see performance issues. Too many AI is the main cause most of the time. No more than 50 AI on the map at one time. AI includes Enemies, Allies, Animals and Vehicles. You need to be very careful with Mods. Some mod and mod objects require the mod to be installed to play it and will not work right or show in the map. If you entered the Map Jam contest there were no mods allowed. If you see unresponsive enemies, check your FPS. If you have a powerful PC you won't notice it as bad, but a lesser PC will bog down, jerky, and stutters. Like Remo says ALWAYS test play from the game menu \Map Editor\All My Maps\Play. It will play exactly the same as after it is published. You can't delete published maps. It's there until the end of time so don't publish until you are sure.
Hi aspergilus2010, good to see you here! I noticed your Fun with Bees map, and you posting here explains a lot I didn't get about it...
First off, I wondered why you had that many versions. Now I know, you didn't know what published maps can not be 'un-published'... Stilly, but true...Originally Posted by aspergilus2010 Go to original post
As for the 'mod folder', if the game was installed through Steam, it must have its files in the Steam Library folder. I think your Far Cry 4 game is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 4, but check it through Steam's Settings-->Downloads-->Steam Library Folders.Originally Posted by aspergilus2010 Go to original post
Though I believe you already know how to install a mod, as your latest "More Fun With Bees 5" map uses some mod objects.
That's where the 'Budget' comes in in the editor. Lots of 'AI' in the map will eat up the PC's processing power so much, that the AI will fail to respond in a timely fashion. You must've noticed that you completely spent your Budget for waves 1 to 5 on your map? Objects like ambient objects (animals, bears, bees, vehicles) will add to Wave 1 Budget, making the map's AI slower.Originally Posted by aspergilus2010 Go to original post
Interesting, this point: it seems like you found a bug! I was aware that playing a map from the game interface can be a different experience than loading it from the editor, but in your case I learned something new: the "1-shot kill enemies" mod will cause the bees to sting the enemies to death when played within the mapeditor, but NOT from within the game!Originally Posted by aspergilus2010 Go to original post
Unfortunately, that's something that can't be fixed. It even seems different than the 'Chimney 02' and 'Beer Crate' objects in the editor, which only turn destructible after restarting a map. So you're out of luck. Shame really, because it was a pretty innovative idea!![]()

(I know some will say not allowing multiplayer maps to be made from the editor but I am talking about the game as is in the form we got it)
Thank you very much for the reply. I deleted objects and it works okOriginally Posted by AKAFootloose Go to original post

I do not understand why the developers of the game have not enabled the option to delete uploaded maps or to be able to update them without creating duplicates. It is not logical.
The map editor is fine but has many bugs. I've made another map, "Escape From Atlantis", it's a map with water and speedboats, and the bug I found is that when waves 2, 3, 4 and 5 are activated, enemies start hitting each other and They fall to the water dying. Really you have to kill few enemies since they are dying themselves.
I'm glad you like the idea of kill with bees, it's painful that it can not work.
Thanks again
Thank you.....!!!Originally Posted by Sabotur Go to original post
