Animals, animals ...... everyone is talking about animals! Listening you it may seems that it must be all Montana's 110 species of mammals in the game, all Montana's 420 species of birds and 85 species of fish in the game.....All are so love animals......I want to ask all "animal lovers" - Why no one is talking about herbs and plants??? Without herbs there would be no animals at all! If we love fauna we must love flora also. What a disrespect to nature! Nature is our Mother. We are all here only because of nature. Nature is eternal. It never dies - only moves from one planet to another. It can cure all diseases in humans body. We must respect nature in all its forms! If we are talking about animals so much... let's talk also about herbs and plants! I don't say that it must be all kind of Montana's herbs and plants in the game......but the most common must be! And what are those names of plants and herbs in the game - red plant, white plant, green plant.......?! Developers, give every plant its real name! For example, there is a plant called - Beargrass. Don't call it - white plant, call it as it is - Beargrass. And so with every plant in the game. We don't call a bear - black animal, in the game, or wolf - brown animal. We give them their real names. But why we should call the plant Beargrass - as white plant, for example?! Give it its real name! So with every plant in the game! FarCry - is the game rooted in nature. This is the biggest plus of FarCry. With every game it must be rooted in nature only more and more. We are, gamers, mostly residents of big cities......and we are detached from nature. We are missing it. So let FarCry be at least like some kind of link between a gamer and nature. Let FarCry will have a cognitive function about the area....in all aspects.
I liked the interactive flowers with the design and color but
1. I don't want them flashing (I know we can turn that off in the menu
2. I don't want them interactive
Personally I like a lot of color so would love to have lots of these of different designs where I can place them all over maybe even pre-made in clumps like a collection but ones that can be placed in small areas if needed, with Far Cry Instincts we had one red flower and just that one colorful object when used correctly made some maps look so different.
I know ALS did a short video on how to make a mixture of flowers but that stuff is costly with the console budget so things like that but virtually cost free.
It was also mentioned about fake Forrest with FC2 those were amazing to use in the distance for areas you wouldn't get to, really missed losing those.
That'd be the assumption considering it's what they've been used for in the past. The plants are used to craft syringes, but it probably would be more believable if instead you just crafted them into a little edible thing. If they have plants and edibles or syringes to be crafted from them, I'm still holding out hope the effects of them are new & more interesting. A slow-mo effect is my number 1 vote!Originally Posted by MikeJDRW Go to original post
You know that was just a slang term for a made up plant in the game right? It isn't actually a lettuce if you look at the plant, it's just what they named it in the game. Red Dead had a plant called the prikkly pear but it wasn't supposed to be a pear. It is just a made up name for the plant, they've done this since FC3. There was a plant in 3 called the "golden beehive" but it wasn't actually a beehive.Originally Posted by Viragoxv535 Go to original post
My comments weren't in regard to a video, just a thought for the discussion on plants. Yeah some cactus are supposed to be edible, as is the barrel cactus, although it's tough to find a barrel cactus these days. There much cacti in Montana?
Still...I haven't seen much corn in Montana, as compared to Nebraska and Iowa. But then some neighbors have corn here although not in the scale of a (noted) farm in one of those other states.
No cacti here, but we do have corn, however like you say, not to the level as other states where it's a major economic factor. I live in one of the bigger towns and there is a corn field in it... so.. but yeah, fairly small...at any rate, i'll be interested to find out the uses of the plants we pick and again, if we create things with it that gives us certain "abilities" like the syringes of FC games past, I'm just holding out hope those effects are more interesting than they've been...
