Gladiator really sucks actually. Only thing he excells at is hitting heavies after parries even on longer range opponents, and having a good punish on enemy being no stamina. Also, good zone attack, but only in extreme short range.

He sucks at everything else. He has zero reliable punishes, everything is couterable.

Say Gladiator is OP on releas date is out. You dont know tactics, block and attack. Just wait to first month.

I called it by just seeing his move set before season 3. Three months later, the verdict is:

• Superior dodge and dodge attacks.
• Superior feint game.
• UB stun from NOTHING
• Superior stamina and stamina management.
• Superior mixups.
• Super fast UB toe stab possible to mixup anywhere for guaranteed dmg.
• 700ms heavy for 30dmg from ALL sides.

How does he have 120HP? It should be a 100HP. No armor, no nothing, 100HP.

As I play him, he doesn't have 8 unblockables. (1) skewer is unblockable, (2) jab is unblockable. Its telling different ways to do it. The fuscina is unblockable but it has very short range and easy to dodge. Every unblockable he has can be dodged.

Whether or not he has 8 UBs is not the point here. No seasoned player let the UBs fly anyways, they are just part of his feint game. You don't dodge them because that means you get GB:en.

His dodge stun seriously needs stumble recovery frames if it doesn't hit.

I think some people are just NOT made for this game.. and whatever they keep trying they just rage more and call nonsense ,rage and cry here


Maybe in matchmaking we should add some kind of difficulty option (i know another compromise for the noob) that just ask how good you consider yourself

And you are put against opponent that clicked for the same difficulty....

People just gotta be honest and don't say they noob To just go crush some noob

Maybe like if you win too often in a low difficulty server you get blocked from these server after the game ...for some time ... so you forced to go next level of difficulty and thats how you get better

Sorry but its si easy To counter a gladiator ..

His footstab his very predictable if you got no stam stay far you know he's coming for this...if you allready close wait
Dont Dodge back To soon he Will guardbreak you ..

When he see you dont Dodge back he will go for it... now that you see him move toi ses the fire that mean UNBLOCKABLE... NOW its time To Dodge back

2; everytime you see him Dodge prepare for the light parry its the only thing he can do while dodging (he can Also punch but you see its gonna be a punch even before he dodge )

Don't try To parry those heavy he Will cancel it anyway and hit you with something else or just Guardbreak you

You throw fast light or zone cancel To interrupt him or you just block...

His UNBLOCKABLE his really all about timing... you WAIT.... you stay still till the very last ms ....count in your head like 1-2....after 2 its too late for him To cancel so je ne didn't cancel after 2 you make your move ...

Your choices.. .

Very risky but you can now just parry it..that could lead To free guardbreak To wall splat heavy ect

Or you just

DODGE and its Also a free guardbreak

NOW if he DID cancel it...

Well thank god you where standing still and just waiting for it you just have To counter guardbreak or atk fast

He doesn't really have a big list of move...

After this its all just reading your opponent and how good with your own feint games combo bait To parry/deflect you are


(Exemple of m'y favorite bait ...

As a berserker. .. side light (no dodge) To top heavy HEADCRUSHER , CANCEL....By trying To parry opponent press top heavy... and here we go free deflect for me push To wall top heavy , zone = dead...if they are out of stam its Even better ... push To ground while he still falling spin Atk toward him and HEADCRUSHER is one hit kill)
