yea they nerfed shinobi but the double dodge into gb still works NICEOriginally Posted by vgrimr_J Go to original post
Because his design is inherently imbalanced and nerfing him would instantly make him underpowered.
I truly believe he would need a mild rework to function correctly.
Reducing his stamina/drain would require him to engage numerous times for a kill, tilting his risk/reward more toward risk, since he has such low health.
Reducing his stamina/drain and increasing his health seems plausible, except he still has all his stuns/pins/knockdowns, but now with more health. Meaning he can hold out even longer for back up while holding his opponent in place for his team to kill even better.
And before someone jumps in with "well this class does blah blah even more!!!," just don't. Wanting balance for the centurion doesn't somehow exempt other classes from being balanced. The centurion is simply the biggest offender, currently, and is having an adverse effect on the games community.
Mainly because the patch kicking season 3 off isn't really a balance pass. more bug fixes, content, and a few mechanical changes.
They did mention waaay back before ptr stuff that they had a whole list of character specific changes to go along side their defensive meta mechanical changes.
I don't think we will see any major balance changes until that patch drops. unless the new heros come out and something is a huge problem with them.
centurion as complained about as he is is really only an issue in 4v4. and only because of his cc. which is being addressed in this patch.
Light parry punish is his only other real problem. but that's going away along with all other light parry punishes once their parry changes go live.
Hi guys, the team isn't done making balancing changes to the heroes by any means. In the patch notes we did specifically highlight how the changes to Disabling Moves will affect attacks from Cents.
This may not be all the change you wanted to see, but thanks for letting us know your thoughts on the hero. We're also going to be paying extra close attention to players' feedback once the defensive meta changes hit. From now on, all the above-mentioned attacks’ synced-up reactions will also be able to be interrupted by In-reaction variants. For instance, a Player pinned down by a Centurion’s Charged Heavy will no longer be pinned down a second time if another Charged Heavy hits him while the first reaction is still playing. Instead, the second Charged Heavy will cause an In-Hit reaction. The damage of the Charged Heavy will still apply, but it will free-up the target.
Well, that Ubisoft answer was a load of ******** that basically just said "Hey guys, we fixed something !! I know it's nothing meaningful, but we'll keep saying we're looking closely at feedback even tho people have been crying about Centurion since the very beginning of season 2 and say we need more data to fix him further."
Seriously ... change something meaningful already on the centurion. It's been months of justified anger on the forums. How much more of a deaf ear can you give us ??
