Why do I not think its the majority, because just like in politics and other things the majority is silent. The comments you mention do not represent the majority of gamers because the majority is not making them.

They believe in market research, sales statistics, focus groups, internal testers. Not Youtube comments.

Assassin's Creed IV sales; 11 Million copies.

    World of Warships players; 10-30,000.

    Naval Action players; 4-6000.

    Blackwake players; 35-54,000.

Sea of Thieves sales; 2 million+

Even these games with relatively low player counts have probably sold hundreds of thousands of copies.

The market shows a clear interest in Pirate and sailing themed games, not just open world types, but all types, even games limited to ship-to-ship combat only.
These are realistic player numbers based on actual facts and statistics, not drawn from random Youtube comments.

I can assure you, Skull & Bones is projected to sell tens of thousands of copies at least. I wouldn't be shocked if Ubisoft expected 1 million copies or more in sales projection.
Therefore, your "50" comments are in no quantifiable way, a majority.

Your arguments loudly proclaiming a "majority" won't buy Skull & Bones are fallacious at best, and you cannot back up your claims, in any objective, factual, quantifiable manner.

If 1000 people bought Skull & Bones, you'd need to show us 501 Youtube comments to claim a majority. Willing to go do that?

yeah of course skull and bones will sell anyway because of people like you who just dont care about good games! you see the majority of youtube comments are all negative about skull and bones, you do realize that right? and yes I know it will still sell and I'm just here trying to tell ubisoft that the kind of pirate game they are making is wrong! so wth is your problem?

You realize he's made all that BS you been spewing about YouTube irrelevant right? The market research game companies use is far more extensive than comments on a YouTube video. If Ubisoft wanted to make a correct pirate game, it certainly would not involve buried treasure, sea monsters or any of that other Jack Sparrow/Hollywood crap you seem to love.

I'm on the fence about the game, I hope to be invited to beta so I can see for myself with an open mind how the game is and possibly make some constructive suggestions to improve it then decide from there if the game is worth the purchase. There are several elements about the game I don't care for, but if the good outweighs the bad I will purchase, if not I won't. Not everyone wants an ACBF mixed with Hollywood jack sparrow game like yourself. Also not everyone wants a game with historical ships, 40 ship battles, and no sea monster, buried treasure BS like I would.

The difference is I'm not trolling a games forum demanding changes that won't be made while making false claims about what the " majority " wants.

lol you just dont get it, do you? those things that you dont want to have in a pirate game are actually pretty nice and adds much fun to the pirate fantasy! what kind of pirate game do you want, then? a pirate game where you are stuck at the helm of a ship and not even being able to leave the ship? I'm sorry but we dont need another world of warships, we need an open world ONLINE pirate game where you control a CHARACTER just like in black flag!
its pretty obvious that noone wants a world of warships type of pirate game and you can also see that in every skull and bones video on youtube and other websites!

and no, he is NOT trolling, he is simply telling ubisoft to wake up! the naval combat isnt the ONLY thing people loved about black flag! and yes, due to seeing only negative comments under pretty much every skull and bones video on youtube and seeing negative threads about this game on steam and other websites, and those youtube comments having a lot of likes (top comments) then yes, it IS indeed, the majority!

    1. @CaptainRyder thank you!

    2. @deek_kaye +1

    3. @Horus and ruthless: first: you say that captainryder cant know what the majority thinks and as a proof you say, that the comments under youtube videos, threads in reddit etc dont show the real percentage of "captain ryders side" because the majority dont say anithing about it like in politics. but if 1million players are interested in the game, and out of these 1Million are 1.000 writing comments in the internet. "positive" and "negative" ones. then the percentage of this actually shows the majority and minority based on the 1 million interested players, thats the same way how it is done in "politics" like you said. captain ryder was so kind and showed us 30 comments of the one side he is on (and said there are tons more of them). i bet you can´t find as many comments as speak for the other side
and second: you said " it certainly would not involve buried treasure, sea monsters or any of that other Jack Sparrow/Hollywood crap you seem to love". if i dont want all of this stuff i can play another ship game in a modern setting. but i want a pirate game and when i think of pirates all this "crap" stuff comes along with it.

Pretty Sad when you make Alts to agree with yourself and to continue an " arguement " after you been banned.

I've seen comments both supporting and decrying the ship only aspect of the game, it seems more complaints have been made over the online only aspect of the game, confusion on the open world aspect, etc. I have a life outside the game which includes a new son due any day now, so I have other things to do than count post. But if there is say 1 mill interested and only 1k comments then there is no way to know what those who did not comment know what they are thinking, just speculation.

In regards to the Hollywood BS, piracy is an act not a time period. There are pirates today just as there was a couple hundred years ago. But have fun patting yourself on the back.
