    Few doubts about 2.2.2 patchnotes

So the patchnotes are out https://rainbow6.ubisoft.com/siege/e...22-patch-notes. Few questions popped up while reading them.

    1) Aren't the new servers coming during operation health? i was under the impression this was one of the most major points that appear during operation health, i see mentions of dedicated servers for both custom games and terrorist hunt, not to base multiplayer with has a separate mention of upgraded servers under "coming after 2.2.2"

    2) what exactly was the change with laser sights and shotgun spread, is it during hipfire? is during ads? is the ads spread for shotguns with laser and no laser the same now? does the laser no longer affects shtoguns in any way?

    3) What happened to other client side objects such as smoke granades and dead body, are they coming only later with the upgraded servers after operation health?

a little more doubts I have on the priorisation of the issues. I mean, there a tons of issues to fix and they come up with a typo in the Kapkan intro in czech language???? I'm pretty sure this one was "healthy" for the 20 Mio. Player Base....

honestly, due to the actual amount of problems I was not assuming to read things like this, which are not game relevant

Maybe UBI can publish games, but in development and priorisation of issues they are not good for a supporting community. I mean you can read everywhere about high-pingers, cheaters and glitch abusing people and the most important thing is to correct a typo in an intro nobody cares about??? Seriously...I lost hope!

    1. We all have been hoping and waiting getting new servers up and running as soon as possible and as disappointing it is more time goes by it still has always been target of last of the introduced pilars for op health. I don't know about anyone else and how your mind works, but atleast as as far as it comes for me i have always considered the "last patch" of operation health being the very first patch of season 3. The patch that also ,marks the begining of s3 and brings in the new operators as well. I guess you could say this is last patch during OP health but OP health is not yet over.

    2. This is confusing for me too i guess it is typo and means ADS spread and there is a bug where it now tightens the spread i.e. laser sight effect plus ADS effect even if only one of them should be active at a time.

    3. That has never being said to be in and probably never will. It is just something some players of community have thought of some reason or another being done to the game when OP health was introduced and devs talked about making things server sided (talk was always about place that houses the party aka lobbies for groups, voip stuff like this) game still renders stuff client sided and client handles randomization of how smokes, debris, ragdoll bodies and any physics simulations associated with them will be displayed based on the coordinates sent by the server.

ever asked yourself why we need an OP health, though this game is nearly 2 years released? Some issues are not addressed since release and maybe they will never be addressed. At least the typos are corrected.

From my point of view we should call future patches "Onion-Patch" due to the reason you start to cry as soon as you read the patch notes.

    "Upgraded Servers
These servers have improved hardware over the servers that are currently in use, allowing for a smoother overall gameplay experience. The extent of these improvements will range from hit registration, and desyncs, to overall latency. While we are excited for you to test this new technology on the TTS, the final deployment date cannot be determined prior to data collection from these tests"

So might be a little later down the road. The wait from TTS to live servers hasn't been particularly too long for any feature, so far at least.

Yes CLIENT side changes... not changing them to be server side, but rather change them or improve them to be more accurately represented client side. This would mean reducing variables that can be happening when smoke goes poof (less difference in the smoke clouds) more variables sent to the clients so they have more information to work on when reproducing render of smoke clouds like location of smoke grenade rotation of smoke grenade all that matters when smoke deploys. Probably also thickness of the cloud when viewing in to it and out of it and same thing to the bodies.

Still different than making them server sided.

wow, like the most important feature of the coming update is still delayed [...] whats your guess, how long it will take them to take the servers actually live/ what was the average waiting time for the past TTS -> live updates?

I think we'll get the new servers at the start of season 3.

Which is technically the end of Season 2, i wouldn't put any firm date though so we're not disappointed. It does seem like the Season 03 patch will be pretty damn beefy from the latest dev diaries and what the 2.2.2 patch implies, and that is the end of Operation Health... kinda.

I was expecting a little more in this one though, but just happy that damn valk exploit is fixed.
