    MJ1 - Clear Skies

Hey! This is my entry to the Hope County Map Jam, it's a large map with a focus point on a town outpost called Clear Skies. I wanted to capture a lot of what I enjoy in Farcry 4 and what I look forward to doing in 5. With that in mind, I put a large emphasis on player freedom and the option- not requirement to explore, rewarding you if you do. Also, we gotta make things kickass, Far Cry style- so, y'know, the mission starts with you getting thrown off a plane. This gives you the option of heading straight towards the outpost marker and just going in, or to survey the countryside, exploring and gearing up.
All in all, I'd have to say I spent a little bit over 24 hours on this map, and I think you'll appreciate the attention to detail that comes with that.
I'd have to say my biggest difficulty was using a lot of very Himalaya-centric assets to create a more American setting, but in the end I think it turned out pretty nice.
So with that whole spiel- here are some pictures.

    Pictures
    Spoiler:  Show

    Features
    - 13 fully detailed enterable buildings
    - Big map! Like- real big, it takes up the entire area. Have fun exploring- if you wanna.
    - Co-op, if you ain't too good at stealth I suggest tackling this with a friend, although only one of you gets the first class pushed off a plane experience
    - Wide variety of landscapes! From a low mountain forest to a murky marsh, to a dry farmland or civilized town
    - It's moderately challenging. Won't be a teeth grinder, or nothin' but watch out for reinforcements.
    - Local wildlife. Just pretend the yaks are cows and its like wam bam you're in Montana.
    - Some rocks, I guess? I'm running out of things to put on the list that sound enticing.
    - oooooooooo water

Only downside for the map being big and detailed is that you need a somewhat sturdy pc to handle it. I had the budget grid scream at me a couple times or so. Then again, I managed to do three playthroughs of the map on a Gtx 660 with 3 gigs of ram without too much fps suffering so, give it a shot anyways.

That's an amazing post with a lot of info, a great way to showcase your map - I will check it out later.
Right now my head is fried after a 5 hour session in the editor, managed to finish my map but have to go to work in under 4 hours, gonna try and check out the maps I have not seen over the next 48 hours.

    This looks great.

Looks cool man! Looks like it has a good flow to it in the birds eye, with at least 3 ways to flank it seems?

Thanks! Yeah, I get the whole head frying, once you get going on a map in a bout of inspiration it's hard to get off from it.
Also, great work covering all the uploaded maps, it's been super handy to look at all the other submissions.

Plenty of ways to flank, the three main roads offer a bit more of a direct approach while the alleyways and backs of houses let you opt for a more stealthy approach
Or of course you can just barge into the church and hold off from there, anything goes.
