Issues with Dominion "meta"
So once you get into the higher tiers of dominion matches, you'll encounter nearly the exact same team composition. Every. Single. Time. It's frustrating, not enjoyable, and because of how skilled both teams are, if you don't have this same team composition you are almost guaranteed to lose.
The team composition looks something like this.
-Nobushi
-Raider
-Centurion
-Warlord/Shugoki/Conquerer
This is an "optimal" team comp for dominion matches.
-Nobushi's zone attack not only hurts a lot and is able to completely affect a teamfight, but also is the best method of clearing soldiers in the game by far. This means that not having a nobushi on your team while the other team does, guarantees you will lose the soldier objective on that map.
-Raider charge is stupid right now, and needs to be changed. The target has absolutely no method of even using revenge while being carried, and takes full damage from outside attacks, meaning that a raider doesn't even need to attack you in order to get you killed. He'll just continuously charge you until you are killed by teammates.
-Centurion or other characters with strong unblockables sit in the middle of teamfights and lock down specific targets for teammates to kill because the enemy has no way of defending him/herself while being controlled in this way.
-Finally, a heavy character that does nothing but sit on the home objective to constantly gain an advantage in numbers against the enemy team.
As an aside, running around alone is a definite way to die very quickly so running in pairs is how to win. Because your revenge gauge (even with revenge gain maxed out) doesn't increase from control effects, a raider's charge, shugoki hug of doom, or Centurion combo doesn't help you get revenge fast enough to survive any teamfight. You will simply take too much damage before revenge is even available, meaning one mistake in a 1v2 spells your death instantly.
This is not fun to fight against, and because of the imbalance of characters for these roles, there's no reason to use any other characters in dominion if you plan to play effectively. Ubisoft, please find a way to better balance the game by adjusting individual characters based on what they're useful for. No one character should have "the best instant kill combo" or "the instant wave clear zone attack". It just doesn't make sense, because then your team is at a severe disadvantage if you lack that character.
