    Religious warriors?

I was thinking of adding religious warriors. You cannot deny that the culture and religion of the ancient Japanese, Vikings, and Europeans were inseparable from their culture. So the world of For Honor tried to be authentic and as real as possible, while establishing new religions. I was thinking of scaling that back, and putting more focus onto Christianity, Norse mythology, and shinto( the biggest religion in Japan today and in ancient times). I could not find any type of religious warriors in Norse or ancient Japenese society. So I was thinking of Viking warriors dedicated to Thor, the God of Thunder. Long beards, muscle all over, and a large hammer in each hand, a cross between the berserker, and the warlord, specializing in relentless attacks. For the Samuri, I was thinking of a somewhat agile warrior with blades hooked to their gauntlets. They would fight in the name of the Kami( Basicly Gods), against those who would seek to kill the followers of the Kami. They could focus on rapidly switching guard points but do minimal damage, Finally, for the Knights, the Knights Templar. During the Crusades, the Templar protected Christian pilgrims to the holy land(Jeruseluem and the land around it. They could carry a long skim shield and a sword, iron plating all over and constantly scream "DEUS VULT". Focusing on heavy attacks and evasion. Also, perhaps some religious themed maps as well. A giant Church for the Knights(bigger than the cathedral), mostly focusing on indoor closes-quarter combat. A large shrine protected by a military garrison(Samuri), and a Shrine dedicated to Thor on a mountain top(Vikings).

No. Keep your Jesus juju out of my playing experience. Religion is bullsh*t. Just a bunch of people arguing over who has the better imaginary friend.

Don't think OP mentioned Jesus once. This post isn't about whose god is the right god (I don't believe in religion either, and hate it when people try to shove it down my throat.)
But this isn't happening here, so you're literally getting angry over someone suggesting a new type of warrior, when religion was a huge deal back then.

To the OP, if you watch the TV show Vikings you'd know next season there's gonna be a Warrior Bishop, and these guys actually did exist back in the day. I think it would be really cool if we could get one of these guys into FH, maybe he could have healing feats or team based feats as that would kinda fit the Warrior Bishops history.

With Norse culture, battle had everything to do with religion. Norse warriors would have no fear in battle because they truly believed due to their religion they'd enter Valhalla. Religious warrior for the Vikings currently would be Valkyrie, considering how she is a scout of the Gods. I could go on all day about Norse mythology but don't have the time sadly.

And I know stuff all about Ancient Jap religion so just gonna leave that.

Lol, where do you get that I'm angry out of keep your Jesus juju out of my playing experience and religion is bullsh*t? No anger here, just making a simple statement, the game is perfectly fine without religious aspect mucking it up. We don't need religion here, plain and simple.

It really didn't. We're playing a fantasy game designed to cater to our love for certain stereotypes, like Vikings with horned helmets, or Samurai with divine Katana's.
The trailer, and our in game world map clearly shows a world completely separate from ours, both culturally and geographically.

We're playing exaggerated stereotypes for the fun of it, there's no need to add real religions into the mix.

No. Keep your Jesus juju out of my playing experience. Religion is bullsh*t. Just a bunch of people arguing over who has the better imaginary friend.
I get your point, but come on mate, there's no need to be that blunt about it.
Don't want religion in your vidja games? Alrighty, right there with ya, but lets not resort to just start calling it ********, 'cause there might be people here who don't think it's ********.
It's not about offending people, It's about not wanting to start flame wars, no one enjoys those.

While Vikings is inaccurate as hell, Warrior Bishop is a cool concept.

For Honor, while having plenty of religious symbolism, also has its own lore. So concepts like Christianity or Shintoism might not fit in, or even exist by those names or ideals in the game's lore. It's up to the writers really, how much impact any potential, lets call them Spiritual classes could have.

But how would the religion aspect muck it up? There is no reason why this should be the case. The game will still be perfectly fine if it had a Warrior Bishop instead of a Gladiator. So I assume that you look away in disgust every time the Warden does that execution where at the end he places the tip of his sword down and appears to have a moments of silence, or bow his head in prayer? As Tundra said, perhaps there was no anger but the tone makes me think you had malicious intent.

Vikings may be innacurate, but gotta remember it's a historical drama, not a historical documentary.

I think it could add to the story and give it more depth and complexities and all the while there are things that are off like I said before with Tundra there are things that are right

Actual quote from story line (sarcasm)

I actually find it a bit strange that the vikings have all these pagan symbols but knights / samurai have little hints to their religion.
