With the new PTS, block damage is a very strong element. I just think 1 change should be made. Block damage shouldn't be a killing blow. When a player is very low on health, you shouldn't be able to kill them by block damage. Block damage shouldn't take you down any lower than 1HP.
No the chip damage is way too much. I cant believe how bad this is getting chip damage should not take near a full bar of health from it being a necessary concept of the game.
They fixed issues with parrying that was the whole reason turtling was a problem. Why are we being punished with rediculously obsurb amounts of chip damage that make good fights between opponent unbalanced and unfair now?
This is the biggest crap ive ever seen.
i think chip being able to kill would feel a bit lackluster. getting that proper finish in a clean hit just gives it so much more impact. kinda like how bleeding out is very demoralizing in how there's no real climax.
keep no kill on chip, and add no kill on bleed imo. maybe add a permanent stamina debuff when you're 20%hp or something? to make it more difficult to come back at critical health.
or maybe not. dont want to add too much and risk cluttering the game with all these small systems.
Parry was not the only problem. Block is also a problem because a person can just block continuously without fear of getting hurt until he gets revenge. With the PTS changes, those people will now be forced to either make a riskier parry, dodge and risk getting guard broken, or eat chip damage that actually matters. It is a much better system.Originally Posted by Yourdevsrtrash Go to original post
