On the other hand, as much as I hate to admit it, both sides are correct because in this day and age, we are looking for more money than we are looking for authenticity like they were back in the days of OGR so, they will hype that the game does this or that but after your purchase the game you find out that it really doesn't or only a small percentage of the time.
Your two sentences contradict each other. The HTI is overpowered specifically because it can blow up a truck with one hit and automatically kill all four guys inside... even if you don't hit the engine or fuel tank(!). It's silly and cartoonish.Originally Posted by GORESH Go to original post
We should have to use grenades to do that, and then a given trooper could only carry a limited amount of them. That would be a better way to make the game more difficult... but in a realistic way instead of an arcade-ish one.

Its not a rocket launcher, but i highly doubt anything keeps running after beeing hit by a mk-211 Raufoss. I agree that its not a rocket launcher and there is really no reason every vehicle instantly explodes. I dont really understand it either, theres already the mechanic in the game where the vehicle when beeing destroyed starts to burn slowly and then after a period explodes. Thats the way it should work for the 50 cal. You can ignite them but theres enough time for passengers to leave. Thats the way it should be.Originally Posted by IIxGH0STxII Go to original post
HOWEVER
The problem IS NOT THE HTI, the problem is how other weapons are balanced right now. The M40 on level 30 needs up to 3 bodyshots for a engaged heavy in tier mode, but it doesnt shoot trice as fast as the hti. That thing is basically useless. Dont get me started about semi auto sniper rifles, tier 27 Mk14 needs up to 5 non crits for an engaged heavy, Tier 30 Sr-25 needs 3. Its hilariously. You ever saw someone keep fighting in real life after beeing hit in center mass by 7,62mm Nato? Theres a reason forces around the world are replacing their 556 for 762 and that reason is people cant fight back after beeing hit (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ives-risk.html)
I get we need some balance, but honestly, everything chambered in 7,62 nato and above should be OHK (onehitkill). If you want to use Lapua magnum you should be rewarded with higher penetration on walls and less bullet drop. 0.50 cal should add Hard target interdiction. That way people would choose different weapons for different situations. Right now the Hti is best in slot for 99% of the sniper situations and only sometimes challenged by the SRS-a1 or the M1891. For when you need more Ammo.
I really, really, really, hope with future tiers well get some WAAAY better DMRs that adress damage and bullet drop, the latter is especially hilarious on G28 and Dragunov which are even outclassed by many AR in that very regard..
I really miss the old non tier days where i was able to two shot every enemy with my Sr-25 and even OHK engaged enemies that dont wear a vest. Good times.
The convoy only explodes once its health is gone. With its health at 50% it can still get away from you if you're not quick enough. At 25% (more or less) it just stops for good and, when this happens you have all the time in the world to approach it however you want.
If you're using the new hti, stop the convoy with an emp and just headshot the driver. The vehicle will remain intact.
I don't think the problem here is the overly powerful rifle, but most likely who's holding it.
Tbh I'm glad it exists in Tier1 simply because there's no way in hell I would need to take two or three shots at a single moving Unidad soldier with the previous hti when there's 20 of them running towards me.
