I hadn't played Ghost Recon in a few months, and was very pleasantly surprised to find you had fixed helicopters in that time, and actually made them usuable. Bravo, Ubisoft, that shows some dedication. There was literally nothing in it for the company. Yet many many months after release, and after all the DLC was out, you went and completely created a new control scheme from the ground up for a whole vehicle type for no other reason than to appease fans. It certainly wasn't money driven, as you didn't sell the new control scheme, and I'm pretty sure hundreds of thousands of people didn't buy Wildlands just because they didn't like how the helicopters flew previously.
Helicopters are an absolute joy to fly now, and you even added crosshairs! Oh my lord, the ability to hover and strafe and aim up and down and everything! It's so wonderful! I actually put all my skill points into the air vehicle shield now that they can actually be used for anything other than fleeing.
Ubisoft have honestly won points with me for doing this. It shows they actually care about their product and community, rather than it being entirely an income source for them. (like so many other devs..."Oh, sorry, there's no money to be had in it for us, so we're not going to do this or that. Have a nice day!" )
Really glad to hear you guys are digging the new helicopter control scheme. The dev team put a considerable amount of work into getting the controls just right, so feedback on the improvements is great to see.
Are there any other changes you'd like to see in the future. While I can't make any promises as to what will end up being implemented, I can definitely get them mentioned for you.
Sure, I'll throw in my two cents. The controls are definitely a vast improvement as I mentioned earlier in the thread, but sometimes I feel like the heli isn't responding very well to my mouse. Like I feel some of my inputs are ignored, for lack of a better word. I move my mouse up or down, or diagonally, and sometimes it's like it's bouncing against a wall until it eventually starts working. I'm sorry, it's a little hard to describe.Originally Posted by Ubi-Iudex Go to original post
I am worried Far Cry 5 will have the same flight controls which will ruin the game.
Buy all the Devs a copy of BattleField 4 so they can learn and copy the Helicopter flight controls so it will be fun to Fly!!
Copying Battlefield 4 Plane flight controls would be great and make flying the planes in Wildlands fun and simple!
I'd like a Vehicle Kit with -- UH-60 - Black (Blackhawk 'with the front and side guns') the Jeep Cherokee w/Gun Mount (unidad vehicle) and maybe a new vehicle a 4 wheeler (2 seater), you can call it Night Stalkers.
Chaff (countermeasure) for the Helicopters.. Need I say more?
if that is a Tall Order.. I'de like when you team up with your friends all the combined missions show on the map from all players. it could show up one color as your own and another as your team mates, maybe even a sub note on a mouse over to show who owns it.. and it auto includes all members when clicked.. that way no matter who is on the team you can all have the equal chance to mop up content. this could even be a toggled setting.

Lets not forget making a Guard Commandfor the NPC Squadand making them worth a darn on the Mounted guns they can't seem to do anything but kill soft targets. Also maybe a Guard Mode for the NPC Squad so if you are Sniping they watch your back. I mean it seems that they either follow you, rez you or attack.. they suck at the stealth Operations.. So if I can get a Guard Command that would be Great!
