Well the cry babies get their way once again. Hope you enjoy getting wrecked by PKs and any other class with fast lights. Dedicated servers will increase latency 10 fold. But its ok at least you will complete the match.

I have always had a DC ratio of about 3/10 matches. Just get better internet scrubs!

Examples of how it will look.

"Uh oh here comes a PK i got this... What i blocked that!, How? i interupted that GB!, Ahaa i got you you laggy piece of... WTF I WAS EXECUTING YOU!!!"

Have fun lol!

I hopfully will have the connection advantage over people on dedicated servers. Being my Nat is open, ports, DMZ everything set up with a solid 1000mbps up and down. But we'll see.

Just don't expect these dedicated servers to be any better lol.

NOPE. This game plays absolutely horrendously. I got 100 up and 100 down where I am now and I play against AI, it's the only sure way to get a match happening and finished. Waste of time. I didn't know dedicated servers were coming. If they are than by the good graces maybe they are finally listening.

Why are you so negative? Did you make this post just to brag about the awesome 1000mpbs connection you have? I doubt it will be all that doom and gloom you're talking about. I mean yeah cool focus on the potential negative instead of the numerous positive things it can bring to the game as a whole. You really think they would move to dedicated servers if it made the gameplay worse? Trust me they have tested it already. If it was as bad as you seem to think it would not be happening at all.

the devs said that they care about the game and want it to last long so they are going to put dedicated servers. They don't want the game to die out without a fight!

Yes, the team is working to migrate to dedicated servers for the reasons outlined here! Here's the Warrior's Den in which this was announced as well.

There is still a team that will work on continued improvements to the current network infrastructure in the meantime.

I assume the devs will know what's best in this regard. It's just a shame it took them a year to arrive at this conclusion.

That is a bit of an exaggeration, we are six months in from full release, they also said yesterday that they have been working on it a while, in fact long enough that there is an in-house comparison to changing a car engine while it is running, so it's not like they had the idea yesterday, it is an active project they decided to let us know they are working on.
