I said it in Season 1, i‘ll say it AGAIN now, and i‘ll for sure as hell as Donald Trump always says „Fake News“ and „Sad...“, say it in Season 3,4,5,6,XY AGAIN:
The Samurai’s won, because Ubisoft rigged it that way - THE END!
I hope now, given the circumstances, the very beary last of you guys realized that this FW BS absolutely makes no sense at all and shall be removed entirely - THE VERY END!
Btw. once again the rewards „well worth fighting for“ (LOL 2.0!) are serious BS - that Silver Skull frame and a freaking Dragonhead symbol is the best you could come up with? - F... that, whatever „For Honor“ does, it ends up being a joke! - THE VERY, VERY END!
Because, just like in S1, they don’t like/want the Knights to win anything - they rigged results in rounds before and they’ll keep doing it - you‘re welcome!Originally Posted by A.re.s Go to original post
If I can help bring some constructive air (and maybe give you guys some pointers for your next live stream)
The ultimate take away is that the faction war is in a very bad state. As it stands there are no ranked matches or ladders for there hardcore players to pursue, so that leaves the entire player base lumped into the same system fighting for rewards. On top of that there is no clear means of gauging what, if any effect your contribution is having.
Now the community could (and has on multiple occasions) offered ideas and advice on what they feel could help. What I'd like to hear isn't more about what happened but how it's going to be improved.
I also don't feel the intermission screen leaves you with ample time between matches to deploy anything in a creative or tactical manner. Which leads positions on the map to be stuck in a chaotic torrent of the three way tug of war. I think there should be more emphasis on placing assets, instead of just letting them wash out as you run off to another fight.
Where is your evidence to support the assumption that the devs don't like or want the Knights to win?Originally Posted by Lumina-US Go to original post
Let's employ our old friend Occam's Razor here. The simplest truth is that winning the Faction War has always involved massive amounts of confusion and stringing players along into what always seems to end up being a close race conveniently at the very end, with nary a full percentage point between 1st, 2nd and 3rd. It happened when Knights won the Open Beta. It happened when the Vikings won Season 1 and it happened now.
Always less than 1% that makes the difference between who wins. Probably because the devs think it's exciting for every last round to be forcefully shoehorned into a controversialy close race via rubberbanding. In reality though it just naffs off all the players involved on all sides.
I tested some ideas with this with another player, we stacked up our matches and were able to push into the Sam stronghold. Now if normal formulas can be followed in that, if we assume that a minority of player input assets manually and the rest auto distribute, our push should have been bolstered by the rest of the collective effort. We did this several times and every time it was the same, we would be within one block of the strong hold and the map would snap back in favor of the samurai.Originally Posted by Vakris_One Go to original post
Which I kind of get it, it helps buffer the faction that might not be as active, but as it stands, that's not helping the games longevity.
That sounds like the come back mechanic offers too much of a boost. I've noticed this same thing against Knights and Vikings. Every time one of them is pushed back into their own territory they immediately become 60% tougher to continue pushing back and thus inevitably end up springing forward with ease like a punching dummy that comes back at you. It's like each faction has a coiled spring at their back that eventually releases and propels them forward with overwhelming force. The faction wars are just a rinse and repeat of this to and fro until in the very final minutes someone gets lucky enough with the timing of their spring forward.Originally Posted by alustar24 Go to original post
It's like a three way tug o' war, with one strong man going around helping out which ever side is doing the worst. Being illuminated on the ridiculousness of the faction war mechanics makes it excruciatingly difficult to give a ****.Originally Posted by Vakris_One Go to original post
... and a large amount of sleep, trust and faith, in my case at least. I don't think anyone (okay maybe some) is upset because of what they didn't win. Why they didn't win, or how they were led to believe they could when they couldn't ... yeah, that's the thing.Originally Posted by DrinkinMehStella Go to original post
