As it stands, the rule in a tiebreaker is to give the win to the faction who deployed the most assets in the final round. And on the website, these numbers (such as assets) aren't always the most up-to-date or clearly reflective of the current state of things. Keep in mind, with our faction war update, faction war clarity and clarity of the faction war rules are some of the things we want to address.

I know some of you are feeling frustrated with how things played out. You stayed up late, planned out hours around your busy schedule to make time for a match (or 5), maybe said no to a night out with your friends, gave up sleep, passed over time you could have spent in realistic dominion, forwent just chilling and not raising your blood pressure to dangerous levels. I get it all, and it sucks. But there's always next time. I'll be cheering for you in S3 knights.
By "next time" you must mean "the last 2 hours of the final round of the Season" surely? Because only the last 2 hours actually count when determining the winner with this borked implementation of faction wars. For safety's sake make sure to get a lot of assets deployed in the final round in case of a tiebreaker.

But essentially only the final round counts and even then only the final 2 hours will decide the winner. I don't understand how the devs can be okay with this. I fight for the Samurai and I think we deserved the win because of our strong performance throughout the last 2 rounds but it was down to sheer blind luck as to who would win in the end and that's not okay in my opinion. It sucks for everyone involved to be strung along like this right until the very last second.

If everything were the opposite, then the samurai would be indignant. Human nature.

This is great, the forums have always provided more entertainment than the game itself.

That is exactly it. I know a lot of people are thinking we're salty because we lost (and knowing our luck we're not even close season 3 because odds are we get back the people that weighed the vikings down all this season), it isn't that the samurai won, it is that the numbers we had were not right. This evening, i got kicked out five minutes into three pvp matches in a row, I honestly wanted to do anything but for honor right then, any other day that would have been me done for the night so I didn't get mad at the game, but I spent two hours doing bot matches because the numbers in front of me told me there was 0.1% in it.

I'm very sorry about this situation. I'll for sure be making a point about how the faction war is handled to the devs.
I'm just as disappointed as you guys that such a close faction war had to end in such a fashion, and I wish we had the foresight and tools to handle it better.

I'd be making the same argument even if my faction lost, albeit slightly more annoyed. The fact is the faction war is badly implemented with way too much of an advantage given if one if the factions is on the back foot. The Knights were getting solidly beaten back by the Samurai towards the end of the final round. All of a sudden the Knights and Vikings reduced the Samurai all the way back down into their corner so quickly and easily it beggared belief. Then with the same speed the Samurai bounced back to equal footing with the Knights. The comeback mechanic needs serious work.

    So very true.
Imagine (that's all they can do) if the tin men had won the War..
There would be YouTube videos of their Deus Vult,,yes really.
This forum would be full of heraldic Cherubs announcing their great victory with the air full of their zealot cries and crusade tales of victory.
Well the air is silent and the Samurai shall sleep well this evening, undisturbed and clear mind..

The war assets said we won though... the secret war asset count that Ubi keeps is the one they went by. It's not the same.

Playing longer and harder than they wanted to because they believed they had a chance, and then having this BS to put up with. I'm not a tin man in real life, I'm a guy who doesn't like to be messed around and have his time wasted by a company peddling BS disguised as a 'war'. Where is the honour in misleading an entire faction about it's chances and then proudly announcing that it all comes down to a 0.6 figure that doesn't even match the value that the players had access to?

You need to think about who this has upset. You might wanna rope all the Knights in together, but you have people like me and Candle, who have been here long enough, behaved well enough and done enough for the community to have earned a bit of credit, very annoyed by the BS that surrounded this Seasons result. If you want to brand people like us in the same way you do all Knights for roleplay reasons then I can't stop you, but you can't tell me there was honour in the misinformation from Ubisoft that caused many of the most dedicated, decent, genuine people on these forums to go out of their way to try to win something that was never theirs to win.

Real people lost real time, real sleep, real hope, real trust and real faith ... not just some fantasy tin men that exist in a made up fantasy version of the Faction War.
Everyday since closed Beta,,on each of the final 2 days of each round 16 hours each time,,,yes I've done the sacrifices,,yes I've felt the pain many times but now the taste is sweet ohh so very sweet.
I requested you don't become one of the few amongst your faction that is a buffoon,,I never said you were one of these only that you refrain from going down that road...

The sleep tonight is peaceful knowing that the 2nd Great Crusade is in tatters and total disarray consumed by hate and spite.
    Ahhh well peace now,,,enjoy 💮💮💮💮

I'm not particularly mad at anyone over it just frustrated at the way it was handled. Like I say, I would rather have known up front that hey we were borked, my connection wasn't having PVP anyhow so season is over and it isn't as fun as it would otherwise be right now since bots, I could go read a book or play another game for a couple hours or do some shopping I did after dinner instead of when I would have otherwise gone.
