Months ago Ubi stated it was 4v4. So it's not an early test and if you watch their footage for the Community Workshop, it's 4v4. I doubt they will change it from 4v4 so 'late' as the closed betas are going on right now. Perhaps ADD larger matches for certain mode(s).

It does seem really small. They will have to make some really small maps, and that usually just leads to run-and-gun nonsense, like the PvP in previous GR games. Sounds like a huge waste of time to me. The best of GR has never been its PvP anyway. There are much better games for that.
