Thanks for the constructive discussion guys. Once the def meta changes go through maybe the shift in landscape and subsequent hero balancing will help to alleviate some of these issues. And if not, then maybe it's another big project to us to start tackling next.

    Agreed

I think brashtralas makes a great case that more than a few players i know would agree with. From my experience, "get gud" is most often said by those who find a weakness or flaw in the mechanics of the game and exploit it. I get it, a win is a win. But i dnt play this game to get all my wins by throwing apponents from a ledge, cc'ing them on the ground as my only shot at damage, or sticking them in an uninteruptable stream of bash-knock down-light-bash-knock down-light.
I understand that we all look for the simplest, easiest, most effective ways to win, sometimes at all costs. And that we all like to delude ourselves a little bit, especially regarding our own skill sets. But there is a huge disconnect between players who take the time to learn each fighter and the mechanics of the game, and those who just find the mechanical flaws/weaknesses and devote their energy towards the easy win. I love getting in a battle with a player who can feint, dodge, parry, play head games, switch styles in a moment, and challenge the heck out of me. but the uninteruptable bashes and disorients that drain ur stamina but do not budge the opponents are a flaw.
Lastly, part of the problem i believe has less to do with the dev guys and how they tweak the mechanics, and more to do with the players. It is not ubisofts fault that players seek these easy ways out.

The problem is that the game evolves into a guessing game. And if you guess wrong, you are ****ed. That is For Honor in a nutshell and has nothing to do with the ever so loved and proclaimed "skill".
