Near the end of the game, Val and I are captured and helo-ed to another island. Cutscene shows the island is full of Trigen and I get kicked out of the helo onto a very small plain on top of the island near the start of a waterfall. I have one M4 w/10 rounds and a one Trigen that takes about 9 rounds to kill.

Now that you know where I am..... After I kill the Trigen, I can't get off this tiny plain. The waterfall is too far of a fall and kills me. All the steep mountain walls around the plain seem too steep to climb.

I did find on spot in the steep walls to climb, but at the top the helo comes back and chainguns me. OUCH!

How do I get off this plain?
    Where do I go next?

You are fully able to jump from the cliff down the waterfall withouth taking damage.. just try to land in the middle where the water is deepest.. After you have landed, wait until you have full stamina and run as hell into the woods towards the helicopter youve seen from the top of the island. Thats how I did it. And expect to make this run a few times because the trigens on this island are very hungry.

Thanks for the help. I had to go down the center of the fall.

Now, I'm haveing one hellova time trying to run/swim past Trigens.

I can sprint past large humanoid TG's (3), but that guy on the left side of the river has wonderful aim with that MP5 and kills me as I swim.

If at first I don't succeed. I quit. LOL.
I'll keep hammering this rock till it breaks.

After you have jumped off the cliff, try to get into the forest on left. go straight and when you see a rock cliff in front of you, turn to right and run for your life in the cover of trees until you get to a river. Then look right and you should see a crashed helicopter there!

Immediately after falling into the pool of water there are two Humanoid TG's in front of me and one Humanoid TG to my left.

I will try your tactic of running by him (the one on the left), but I know that they can sprint very short distances also.

I'll give it a shot as soon as I get off work. oh yeah, Im suppose to be working.... lol.

I managed to swim all the way to the helicopter spending as much time as possible under water, but did take some damage from a trigen on the way.

I found this out by accident on my 4th or 5th try. I decided not to waste ammo on the trigen atop the plateau, so I dodged him and jumped off the edge of the cliff, aiming for deep water.

The persistent little guy followed me and *drowned* a few seconds after landing in the pool.

I spent the next few minutes luring all the unarmed Trigens in the vicinity to a watery grave. None of them can swim, and they'll drown as soon as their heads are covered by the water.

After thinning the herd, the walk to the helicopter was pretty easy.

There are 3 or more armed trigens (g-36s and P90s) scattered throughout the area, but they're easy to avoid if you're careful.
