I like the concept of the new game mode, but after only 3 games i can tell you some of the problems. And i understand that its an event but it should be a main gamemode. You need to show guard breaks. Almost every guardbreak hits especially when shinobi does his pull. Also light attacks are a huge problem. All i see in that game mode is zerkers spamming light attacks cause ppl cant see anything to block them. Anyway word up... Oh and let people use the gear they have worked for ( if it becomes a main game mode ).
I sorta agree and I sorta disagree.
Shinobi's ranged attacks are hard to judge because of the subtle sign of the guard change.
My biggest issue was the kensai's unblockable attacks feat. It was nearly impossible to deal with. I do play a conqueror so I'm not really a dodging character anyway but without the indicators to parry you're left with very little options and it's pretty much impossible to fight back.
I didn't have much trouble with zerkers, or even PKs. Their attacks are telegraphed enough and it's pretty much the same as normal reaction times, you just have to be able to work out which guard zone it's coming from fast enough.
On that note, find a way to fix some ambiguous directional attacks. The warlord's zone and Lawbringer's charging stab, for example, both have animations that don't hint at a specific direction and so if you haven't memorised it from the other normal game modes it's almost impossible to block. The warlord's attack he seems to do an 'X' slice with his sword and shield so it looks like both sides are attacking. The lawbringer you pretty much have to predict when he's going to do his running stab, which isn't hard considering he's running to do it, but you have to know which side to block on and you don't get enough time from the very fast animation.
I second being able to use gear! Though I do like that there's not any defence penetration ramping up people's attack power to ridiculous amounts. So, both implement gear stats but also fix the defensive gear stats first.
