Crucial assault ... not a good mutator for grinding

I tried this mutator in Hard Grand Central and Challenging Queens tunnel camp. I died a lot in Grand central, even while only moving from cover to cover and mostly blindfiring at CQC. I stopped Queens tunnel camp in the server room --> I had hard time not with the shotgunners but the other mobs that just don't come closer, and I won't spend 10min just to aggro them one.

I really think that this mutator will be a pain. The NPC damage increase is not at long range but whatever is not closed range. Furthermore the LMB are not "rushers" with a few snipers as the cleaners do, so on top of that you'll have to aggro them.

I think that "the build" to deal with that mutator is something like a tactician / reclaimer with a strong support station + seeker mines, crouching behind cover and blindfiring when NPC gets closer. It'll be long and tedious.

As threat 1 is only "harder" difficulty (threat 2 being easier), you should get increased reward. Maybe just a "daily" or "DoOnce" Something.

Then I'll change the straight damage increase to an out of cover damage increase (both player and NPC), because the NPC accuracy make covers not reliable.

I don't see the incentive of doing the missions with anything but the basic Outbreak. Why make my job harder when the only reward is a few more GE funds. Either up the reward of GE funds a lot, or give something else as a bonus, like the key fragment things or something.

So I soloed Queens tunnel camp with a high SP build with seeker mines, support station and a predatory LWM4. As I expected it was not that hard with "crucial assault" mutator.
But it was stupid : spamming seeker mines while crouching behind cover and blindfiring when NPC came at CQC...
--> to be honest it was even worse than falcon lost in 1.3 back then at least then you could snipe from cover... I mean aim and shoot for a shooter is not a bad gameplay... compared to wait behind cover and spam homing missiles...

I also did Queens tunnel with just the base effect... and that's just an easy mode and facetanking fest. With my HExotic build 9kFA MC skulls / LWM4, it was alsmost an insta-gib at CQC

So no thank you to this gobal event. I don't want an easy mode, and I don't want a "not a shooter" mode either.

I played last night for a few hours having optimized a final measure gearset by spending some time at the recalibration station rerolling all of the stats well two of the stats on each piece to get it completely optimized and then went and did some of the missions in only hard mode solo with the additions of the critical assault. Hard mode missions with my existing gearsets in the live game solo are very easy I can run through one typically in 5 to 15 minutes depending on the the mission and how long it is but with the critical assault I found that I was dying in the first few guys even with the optimized full classified gear set.

To me it seems like these are way too difficult for the benefit think about it when we start over in the main game once it's not PTS anymore and we don't have any classified gear at all and we're actually going in there to get the stuff so we can actually buy classified gear how are we going to be able to do that I was getting melted in a few seconds with my top tier 256 gear that's been optimized forever.

This reminds me of 1.4 when in order to do the missions we needed the stuff that the missions would give us and so we were in this quandary where we could not do any of the stuff we wanted to do because we weren't tough enough to do them.

I've seen several other posts by people that said that we need to have a buff to PVE gear and based what I'm seeing right now I would have to agree with that. I haven't tried strikers and a couple of the other ones that are new and I'm going to do that but at least with final measure which I really like using currently in the game, my feeling is that we need to buff the PVE content gearsets or Nerf the enemies or something because I feel like the balancing is way off in these special missions with the events. I left that area with the special mission and just did one of the other missions and didn't have the option to choose the crucial mission thing and I enjoyed it a lot more being more difficult than currently because of the event but only just.

I agree with someone Above who said we need more rewards for crucial missions to make it worth it. I was getting 110 credits for normal hard missions, and I think 210 for crucial. It took me 4x as long to complete this maybe at least 330-400 credits?

    Contamination Damage

The damage caused by contamination by enemies should either be limited (non-stacking) or not based on their level/power.

As it stands, I did a run with 3 others in Hudson Refugee Camp and it was almost impossible to do - we could take out enemies without an issue but we do have to take some cover - so the last boss battle requires you to go upstairs and from there the enemies that walk TO the stairs cause significant damage - from contamination. By being BELOW you.

There's nothing you can do...and when it's 4 rushers we would lose 1/2 our health (at least).

I like a challenge - but without Level 2 of the contamination (where at least 2 shots can kill an enemy - first headshot marks, second kills) - it's pointless.

When will we get Level 2?

Without Level 2 (which is backwards anyway) - it's pointless to run with the contamination effect - it just makes the entire process frustrating.
