I'm a pretty sucky player, and bring two sucky players with cents and I can survive long enough to expect help to arrive. Bring two cent players that know what they're doing and I'm dead, but then bring ANY two players who knows what they're doing in their classes and ANYONE is always dead unless the lone defender greatly outmatches both of them.
So then, what are the odds of these cent-whiners actually "outmatching" the gankers that has a centurion as a member? These guys don't even know what hits them, rarely identify just what caused them to be hit, and proved themselves to be thoroughly clueless in every way, did they not?
From a tactical perspective committing to a fight which you're outnumbered in,.without absolute certainty of superiority of your own skill is by itself a mistake made even before the actual fight starts, and is hardly of any basis in arguing "OP"ness of a class. Surrounded by 3~4 cents is a nightmare, but then again try being surrounded by any combination of Lawbs, Conqs, Wardens, Valyries, Shugokis... basically classes with melee attacks and/or "CC"s and its exactly the same.
The only difference is just a few seconds.
So let's get the facts straight here.
In most cases, people going down against 2~3 enemies with a cent or two among them, don't go down because there's a cent. They go down because generally they're not very bright, barely even average in overall understanding of the game, has no clue as to what to expect and prepare for when fighting a cent, and made the poor, foolish decision by stepping into a hopeless gank, which would kill them 99% of the time regardless of which classes surround them.
Let me be BRUTALLY honest here.
When it is with any other classes, these whiney people get the ILLUSION that they're actually fighting or doing something when they're being ganked, because they can block a few incoming hits or just generally mash dodge button a few times in any direction and feel like they're evading something. They squirm like worms because being surrounded by other classes gives them just a few more seconds to live than when being surrounded by cents, and they think that's OK.
Unfortunately, when they get caught by gankers that has a cent among them (which is by itself evidence of stupidity), since the cent specializes in long combos of debilitating attacks which you can't defend against if you don't know how it works, they don't get that happy moment of illusion and self-deluding that they're fighting.
Nothing's different. They just simply repeat what they always do when they get ganked like idiots -- die like one. The only difference is how fast they go down, and since their fragile egos can't handle the fact that cent mechanics don't even allow them to fantasize about being competent in any way, they go raging bull on the class.
How dare they, how dare they break their pitiful illusion of "ooh look I'm actually standing upto a gank (for a few seconds)"!

If you're getting that mad then you're tilted. and you're not going to win regardless of what anyone tells you.
Centurion doesn't have a reliable way in for 1v1. Kick is dodged (and punishable depending on the hero.)
the heavy after the kick isn't a true combo wether the kick is landed or not. and can be punished.
If he decides to throw an uncharged jab after a blocked heavy dodge to the side. back dashes are too inconsistent.
The only scary thing you have to worry about on a centurion besides hes 2 light punishes (assuming the person you fight even parries) is his soft feint mix up. Which is charging a heavy but canceling it into a GB or letting it fly.
that has 4 timings. uncharged, partial charge, half charge, and fully charged. If you can't properly deal with uncharged and fully charged than the centurion kit isn't the problem. it's your skill as a player. Both of those timings are not hard to handle. Partial charge doesn't deviate much from uncharged and it's got the same timing for his hard feinted heavy. in higher skilled matches it doesn't give the cent much because of how close it is to parrying the uncharged heavy. the half charge is what you need to look for.
If the centurion is successful in his mix up he'll charge but GB than throw in another heavy (usually uncharged) and try to feint into another gb to do the cycle again. That's the basic pattern. it's usually ended with the centurion trying to go for a fully charged heavy. So it would look like:
"half charge into GB, uncharged, half charged into GB, uncharged, fully charged." the fully charged heavy is 100% parryable.Try to get used to this combo. as if you're aware of it you can and will get out of it. As a cent main i've came across people who could including a god tier nobushi who read everything I did.
Centurions will usually not go for anything in that combo unless near a surface. then they will try to throw you into it. So you need to become more aware of your surroundings. Another thing I and other cents like doing is throwing 2 lights occasionally to go for the GB after a light. this doesn't really work if you attempt to go for it because of how easy it is to tech. It only really works if you've overwhelmed your opponent and they are panicking. still. Something to keep an eye out for.
Finally OOS. if a cent has you OOS they will almost always either try to light gb, light light gb, or lead with a kick. they WANT to keep you OOS. Don't panic. literally just dodge everything they throw. don't try to parry. Don't even try to block unless you need to.
If you end up fighting an experienced cent like myself who uses both parry punishes you've got more to worry about. and you'll need to grow more as a player to be able to handle that. But in short if they go for light parry into the fully charged combo a lot all you really can do is try to trick them into a parry. (I fall for this a decent amount i'll admit since i'm an aggressive parry happy individual) With his other parry punish while it can be used to the same extent as a normal light parry punish I (and from what i've seen with other cents) don't really go for it unless 1 of 2 situations arise.
1) we're fighting a ranged hero.
2) our opponent is good at spacing.
So if we're fighting people like bushi or goki where we can't do the normal light parry punish we do this one because it closes the gap like deflecting does for assassins. and does a heafty bit of stamina damage. same kind of logic applies for point 2. mainly it's used as a gap closer. as while the knee gives us a heavy and lets us get into our mix up it's not as good as the guarenteed amount of damage for the normal parry punish. Why risk going for more when you can get a good amount 100% of the time? is the logic.
Cent can bash you after a GB for stam damage but I don't really use this much. Only really if the person is close to being OOS. though if you want to make someone stop pressuring you that's a good way to do it as well.
