Just got to comment on this, since a lot of Americans believes this to be true. As stated by Noam Chomsky, by popular opinion, outside the US people see the US as the biggest threat to world peace. Also, US has currently entered a category which puts it in a category of the least developed countries of the development countries. Even we, Norway, own a lot of American debt atm. It's just ironic when you speak of "weak slow brain kids", when you seem to be so ignorant of the state of the world. No one looks up to Americans. These days it's just a comedy show. Though a lot of us, like me, love a lot of the American culture. I do, and I do like a lot of American people. But America in its entirety is not the same as American culture anymore, and America is getting further and further behind most development countries.

You do have an army, Ill give you that. But that's about it.

We don't have an army, but we have a very welcoming and progressive community. If you're judging all of Americans based on what you see in the media and the movies, then I don't know what to tell you. Some of us are actually pretty nice folks.

USA has over 324 million people, please be careful when you generalize about all of us. How would you feel if I started posting generalizations about all Norwegians?

It shouldn't disappoint you, and I am not sure you read everything I wrote. It just is what it is at this time in history. People have difficulty in understanding this sentence, and I don't blame you. It seems personal, but its not. It's not my personal opinion either, its "popular opinion" outside the US. In other words, its how the world in general, by popular opinion, views the US. Thats why I emphasized my own opinion about American people and culture at the end of that statement.

If you generalized Norwegians, I would take it to heart, see if any of whatever statements suited me as a person, accept it, learn from it, and continue to explore our global community. I would not get defensive. There\s a lot of things to say about Norwegians as well. Its how we learn and grow up as humans. What mistakes I have done today I can learn from is the only way I move forward.

I got to add that I would not have written it wasen/t it for K0ZAK1/s comment. Its that sort of person, the way he really believes in what he wrote, that gives the US the bad reputation. Personally I believe they are a minority since I have almost always only met kind Americans.

.....and unfortunately it's always a select few that only seem to want to provoke arguments with personal attacks and baseless, subjective, negative rhetoric rather than contribute anything useful. I agree, let's stick with GRW. This is a good thread with good information.
