🛈 Announcement
Greetings! Ghost-Recon forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game.

I would love for Ubisoft to have made an announcement that they were getting ready for the Paris Livetest rather than having to check the french side of the forum.
Now i understand that they obviously want to get it right which is why they have taken so long before getting to this stage. However.. being open with your community and communicating with at least a rough timescale can go a long long way to keeping players involved! My issue is its 4 months after release and we are just entering testing stages... It sounds like a pre-alpha test show we might still be waiting for a while.

Even if it is not cancelled. it is not going to be too good. I mean what, it is going to come out in November and compete against those Holiday titles? If they had something worth showing they would have showed it. End of Summer is like in September. Will he PVP be that good?? I think not.

And as far as this community manager, he is the same guy that said an announcement is "Coming soon very soon" that was like a month ago. You cant tell me that they do not have any gameplay of this mode. We were seeing alpha footage of RB6. Remember this update is FREE and that is how Ubi thinks. Look how much footage we have seen of AC Origins. I do not expect too much of this PVP mode because it is FREE.

I doubt they anticipate release of PvP will sell very many more copies of the game. I guess if they build it good enough, it might sell enough to make it worth their investment. Making R6 Siege better sold more copies of the game for them.
They might be counting on those that skipped the release because PvP wasn't going to be included. Many I spoke with, will 'probably' buy GRW once the PvP is released.

Why would they do that, as they are looking for local people only, in the Paris area.. Also it seems I had no problem finding it and posting the correct information here or on my YouTube video. You are just mad because someone else posted a video before you dude, talking about it. ( you can also just click on the page to translate it) instead of using Google to do that.
Second they are going to sign a NDA so good luck with them giving you or anyone information on a closed testing section. Who said anything about it being Pre-Alpha? Again you are reading into the post and assume on your own. As for people being bored with the game and moving on. That 's call short attention span. It has nothing to do with the quality of a game. Just how much someone is willing to play it. Then they realize suck at it and they move on to another game.
You are complaining about the game being out 4 months and no PvP yet. Even though we have had 5 major patches, 2 DLC's and a new Tier One Game Mode. But because no Pvp the game is dead?
I play Arma 3 which has been out since June 2013 and they are just releasing new DLC's for it. ETS 2 has been out since November 2013 and they just releasing France DLC. I could go on and on with all the games that have been out for over three years and are still getting new content.

    1. Ubisoft will screen people over the next two weeks

    2. They will start testing the Beta (Not Alpha) as the game is already made first week of August.

    3. Look for a possible closed or open beta first two weeks of September.

    4. Release the end of October or first week of November.

They still have 2 more Tier Modes, beside the one we are doing now. Which means that could be something they release to us, while we wait for PvP.

Well I am the original OP and I feel that the way Ubi has handled this PvP mode is horrible. I personally think GRWL is a great game, I bought it at launch and still have not beat the main campaign. But I am a burst gamer and I knew from the beta stage that this game needed a PvP. It just isn't cool how they are keeping everything about this mode so tight lipped.

Another reasonably strong uptick in sales would be good for the long term commitment.

That being said, I think we can look at what is coming in The Division as the model they plan to use to monetize PvP. Sell supply caches that give random rewards. Those might include everything from weapons (bad idea) to simply cosmetics, to XP boosters.

SW Battlefront 2 is going one step further in the bad idea department and including stat buffs in their packages.

You are putting way too much time into what you think it will be like. Get a grip.
