Official thread of player needs, fixes, and requests prioritized
Dear Ubisoft,
Here is a list of things we as a community want, and ranked in priority. I know you are aware of most of this, but honestly I think there needs to be a legitimate thread dedicated to all the problems and our feelings on the priority of such so you may have a better understanding of what exactly your player base is looking for, and perhaps focus on the things we find more important before others. Fellow members feel free to comment or add!
TOP PRIORITY (game breaking issues)
-SERVERS: overall the servers aren't too horrible in my experience, but one day it will be perfect, and the next day I won't be able to finish a single game due to disconnect, and I know many players are experiencing the same. We want solid sturdy servers that are consistent. I am aware end game disconnects may be caused by a player disconnecting his/her internet, but even still this should not be a problem all other players must deal with and it wouldn't be a problem if we had dedicated servers, just saying.
-END GAME FREEZES: many players are experiencing game freeze at the very end of their match. Similar to the majority of error code disconnects at the end of a match as stated above however without the error code.
-CENTURION 4v4 BALANCE: the effects the centurion has on 4v4 matchups is game breaking for these matches and you "nerfed" him but only made him more balanced specifically in 1v1. Honestly now he is more or less useless in 1v1 but off the charts in 4v4 still, a problem we have been asking you to fix since the character came out. This ballence may be a big help when it comes to people quitting and making the game freeze and disconnect, as most people as is quit in 4v4 when they see the centurion.
-CONNECTIVITY WITH FRIENDS: having a friend in group causes even more disconnects than usual even with optimal connections.
-HIT THROUGH BLOCK: occasionally players are getting hit through their block with an attack that should have been blocked.
- ***PROBLEMS THAT VARRY BETWEEN PLATFORMS (I think this is a big elephant that no one addresses, which personally I think is something I would like to see a change in and that would be fps across platforms)
- PC TURTLE META: with higher frame rate this is a problem as lights are as easy to parry as heavies are in console and many people still believe that it still needs a fix, however at least on Xbox the defensive meta is not as prevalent and is fine in current state.
- RAIDER CARRY: Pc players have been saying the raiders carry was too buffed and being able to cancel into a guard break if you try and dodge makes it an over powered spammable ability.
-TEMPLE MAP: while in a duel on temple with rain, players are experiencing drops in fps.***
MEDIUM PRIORITY: (bugs that have the potential to affect orders or gameplay and balancing issues with characters)
- MATCH MAKING: many players are experiencing their team with low level players (rep 1 and lower with almost nonexistent gear score) being matched against maxed out gear score players with a much higher rep. This may be due to an overall rep calculation of each players heros, but then again the gear and experience that the other team has with their hero significantly off sets this if a player chooses to peruse a new character, or is a new player.
- FALL DEATH COUNT: when you are pushed off the map, it counts as 2 deaths rather than 1.
- FLICKER ZONES: many players feel this is unfair, and regardless it does not work as intended.
- CHARACTER RELEVANCIES IN HIGHER LEVEL PLAY: some characters simply need more to their kit to allow for more mix ups, or top tier characters need to come down just a notch, so that a player who plays an other than typical character for ranked and tournaments may play without a natural uphill battle each time. Some of these characters include the majority of the samurai, and Valkyrie to be more precise. The more typical characters in these higher tier playing being warlords who it is largely felt needs a revamp with too far of a throw distance, too strong of a zone and a headbutt that is too quick.
- CENTURION VS HYPER ARMOR AND REVENGE ACTIVATION: centurion does not act as every other character does in this regard. There are many calls to fix this and balance him with other heros in this regard. This may tie into the 4v4 balance, but also applies to 1v1 situations as well.
- DUEL/BRAWL MAPS: many of the maps for these game modes a riddled with hazards and ledges. Especially duel, where you are matching straight skill and ability with specific characters, these hazards hinder a true test to these skills.
PRIORITY: (bugs that don't affect gameplay but need a fix, or character balancing that would be nice but we can wait for in the name of fixing bigger issues)
- END OF ROUND FACTION WAR: in faction war rewards, it says that no war assets are ever used to defend or attack.
- "NEW" ITEMS FOR CHARACTERS: characters will have the yellow dot indicating new items despite there not being such.
- CONTROLLER REMAPPING: we were promised this would be a thing but still have yet to get it. (Which was highly anticipated)
NOT PRIORITY (things we would like to see AFTER the fixes of most if not all the above):
-BETTER ARMOR LOOKS: we have badass new weapons, but the armors are all the same with minimal changes in higher levels.
- NEW MAPS: you did well with the new maps that you realeased in the start of season 2. We would like to see more and more frequently with a good variety.
- NEW GAME MODES: king of the hill, protect the king, a capture the flag etc.
-MORE OPTIONS TO CUSTOMIZE DISPLAY: being able to turn off certain display options like chat.
- MORE TIME TO RATE MATCH: players only have 5 seconds to rate the match, it'd be nice to have a little more time to rate. Maybe add this to end menu when you can deploy war assets.
