    STBC Connecting... Error Code 12

    Has the Bridge Crew team made any progress on discovering the cause of, and a fix for, an issue when initially logging into STBC?

    I'm playing on an HTC Vive, and after the game loads into the asteroid field menu, it gives the standard "Which controller are you using?" screen. Upon selecting the Vive controllers and resetting the view, it tries to log in (to Uplay, I assume). It then shows a screen that just has "Connecting..." and a Cancel button in the bottom right, and gives this a go for about a minute, maybe two. Eventually it gives up and the box goes away. Maybe five seconds after that, a new dialogue pops up saying:

    "Star Trek Bridge Crew services are unreachable at this time. Try again later. Error code: 12"

    The support knowledge base doesn't know what this error code is, the general-purpose connection fixes haven't worked (and yes, when I reset the Hosts file I did make sure that it was an untyped File rather than a .txt), and it's probably even more frustrating that the first couple of times I played it was fine - I finished the first two campaign missions with no technical issues. Every time since then, though... "Error Code 12."

    Is this a known issue? Is there any more detailed bug-logging software Ubi would like me to run when I try logging in, to figure this out?

    Oculus Rift - STBC Connecting... 17-2 17-3 17-6

    Same here, have spent 6 or 7 hours combing through a new Windows 10 Pro PC, UPlay, Oculus, and router settings and configs based on the "knowledge base" article with absolutely no change in connection behavior. I've shut off every startup program -- practically started in "Safe Mode", have relocated the PC outside the router firewall, completely disabled PC firewall and AV, and get the same messages. "Known Issue" isn't a solution.

    It wont work

    I keep trying to get in but it just keeps giving me error code 12 and I have tried everything pls help

    I send a screen shot of the error to support and talk to them. They are checking into it.

    same issue on Oculus Quest 2

    Experiencing the same issue on the Oculus Quest 2 when to connect earlier today and Error Code 12 every time I try.

    I know its been before but could not find solution

    Hi guys I have star trek bridge crew for the occulus quest 2. Managed to play it a bit but now getting error code 12. I have used some of the suggestions here on the forum like trying to reconnect to Uplay but it hasn’t worked. I am wondering if anyone can come up with something else?
