    Weapon Upgrades

Can someone please explain the point of upgrading weapons in the new Tier One game mode? The way I see it is, all weapons are a one hit kill if you remain undetected. Once detected your weapon is useless. While I know you can elude and exit the area that isn't always an option. I'm finding if I fire 1st 9 times out of 10 I die 1st. I have my M4A1 upgraded to level 7 and it's not really any better. AI still out gun me.

I just capped my AUG A3, I'm at Tier 23 and the weapon is still doing substantial damage. I just don't know what I should upgrade from here. I'm working on my sidearm, but I'm considering my M4 sniper too. IDK IDK IDK this game is dumb.

And it stays that way. The artificial method of making it more difficult.

I gathered as much, it just seems pointless to upgrade guns that do nothing once detected but are a one hit kill, even if not upgraded, when you are not detected. I've had the AI run up on me at full bore and one shot me despite me throwing half a magazine at them 1st lol.

Agree. The rate at which difficulty increases is completely out of whack. Especially compared to weapon damage increases. You are absolutely correct about the increases being pointless. I am at around Tier 30 and it is exponentially more difficult already, I can't imagine what the top 20 tiers will be like. The only effective tactic will be guerrilla warfare, period.Kind of boring and a waste of time, if you ask me. I thought this game was supposed to be all about freedom of choice and infinite possibilities?! They are taking away the freedom.

I'm tier 17... and let me tell you... I have not spent any resources upgrading weapons. They all die in 1 shot when stealth and when you're hunted, you can still one shot them with HTI or a burst from an AR. Once you're engaged, it's game over anyways, doesn't matter how much dmg you do, they got aimbot and wallhacks... just run or die. So yeah, upgrading is pointless.

I never noticed but does Tier 1 mode start in Arcade level? Or does it start in whatever level you have it set to when you turn it on?

I think 30 level upgrades add about 50% damage total (cant remember - all the weapons I use are lvl30 now).

I'm at tier 22 and in engaged mode my lvl 30 tar-21 will kill even unidad heavies at range very quickly with small bursts - the problem of course is once they get within firing range you are instantly dead. Try to keep them over 150m away and ideally have some diversion rebels deployed as well - gives them something else to shoot at while you shoot them.

In general, stay well away from road access points if you are about to get into a fight - Ive been getting loads of issues with enemy vehicle spawning almost on top me guns blazing etc with the end result is you are dead within a tiny fraction of a second of seeing the vehicle icon (< 1/4).

This whole thing feels like some nasty hack TBH. And levelling down so you and your weapons get weaker while everything else gets stronger? WTF?
