    Cronus Max Plus

The mods and devs must support the use of these controllers otherwise why are they still allowed to be used in this game? maybe we should all just go get them so we can be on a level playing field. are the mods and devs using cheat programs? is that why they dont do anything about it ever? I personally dont support the use of such cheats within the game, just trying to figure out how to get on a level playing field and while im against cheating, it seems these things are being pushed by the mods and devs otherwise they would be doing something to stop it from happening.

I'm not sure if they can fix something like that. isn't it basically a device that manipulates your buttons and runs macro scripts? Not sure how they would regulate the speed of a persons button commands. I would also imagine that if there was regulation of modded controllers and other external devices. It would cost jobs, definitely have an impact on what games are played and change the multi billion dollar gaming industry. I don't agree with using things to cheat in pvp, but where would regulation start and end? I just can't see that this type of stuff will ever be fixed in any game.

The developers cheat in games. No I can't prove it but I know that anyone with admin privileges gets bonus perks for gearsets that regular players don't get. Found that out after watching a guy with a mismatched gearset do some ridiculous amounts of damage and suggested helping him farm to get a proper gear set together thinking it would make him even stronger. That's when he told me there was no way he was touching his set and that's when he let me into the secret.

Anyone who plays the game with exploits not available to other players whilst refusing to allow posts about cheaters is a complete hypocrite and obviously isn't going to care about other players using cheats unless they get used against the developers themselves. Like you said it is highly likely that they use these devices anyway.

I said this patch would be the end of the game but I never expected it to be this bad or this fast.

I can easily be fixed. All they have to do is set a ROF cap to each weapon.

This is exactly right, its all they have to do to take away those controllers main advantages. They have already done it on other guns just recently but for some reason allow these idiots to run around spamming the crap out of sasg and other semi automatics and even AR's with zero consequence. Im trying to figure out why they would continue to allow it other than they are using it themselves. They have the ability to fix it, this really is a minor code tweak and not something like the lag that they obviously have no clue as to the problem or just arent given the resources to redo the game as it should of been done in the first place. This really is a simple fix on the ROF of these weapons.

I would wager that they, the developers, really don't care.

It's really not just rate of fire (ROF), which I agree sounds like an easy fix since they implemented it on the burst fire MP5 recently. The other stuff CronusMax does though, I don't see how they could possibly stop (e.g. anti-recoil, auto-sprint, auto-aim, etc.).

The way the CronusMax works, from what I understand, is that it's just a 'bridge' between your controller and the console that basically modifies the controller's output commands. For example, when I fire a LW M4, the CronusMax modifies the output of the left stick position command to add the amount of movement needed to counteract the recoil.

It's really annoying and is becoming much more frequent for sure, but I don't see how Massive can do anything about it.

I agree its not just ROF, thats why i said it would take away one of the controllers "main advantages". If they simply did the ROF cap on the weapons, most of these idiots wouldnt spend $70 just for the other perks, of course some would but we cant stop them all but if they capped ROF on these weapons id bet there would be a drastic decrease in the amount of blatant cheating that is going on in this game. It gets worse daily and why shouldnt it when they have literally done nothing to stop it which in turn promotes it. Can they kill the controller, probably not, can they turn off its main advantage, yes, it could be done in a few hours yet this has been going on for months and gets worse every day.

I think then platform holders need to take notice because God knows how many games have players using chronusmax I don't believe this is an isolated situation just in this game if the above is true

Actually, I think of all the advantages the CronusMax gives, the ROF is the least of our worries. Even with the same ROF as us, they land at least 25% more shots because of the anti-recoil. Not to mention the movement speed that makes it harder for us to hit them with our already worse accuracy.
