Quick question, for clarity, not to be antagonistic.... Was said DLC tied to a season pass? Just wondering because if that's the case the people who bought a season pass with their pre-order definitely wouldn't want to wait 18 months for their DLC while fixes were being made. There would be just as much uproar (whether we deem it warranted or not) in this scenario.Originally Posted by Flaw3dGenius23 Go to original post
You dont think those that bought the game and season pass would of rather of had a WORKING game first and foremost? Also it would not of took them 18 months to fix it thats how long they decided to take to try and fix it im sure those with a season pass wouldnt of been to bothered of a slightly delayed first DLC (it happens all the time in the gaming world)Originally Posted by D-from-Oxford Go to original post
@FlawedGenius; 20 million users don't get a game that isn't working. You don't like R6, OK cool, I don't like Far Cry or Assassins Creed, but that is my issue not Ubisoft's. You yourself say you played 3 months of R6 so to say the game wasn't working speaks more about your view of the game from your perspective than it does about the game. It has worked fine for me and for my friends the whole 18 months.
Even so, Ubisoft has cared for those for whom it could be better (BattleEye and the PC community being a good example) throughout that whole 18 months with regular patch updates right from the start and still continuing. There is absolutely no way you can honestly say that it has taken until now for Ubisoft to take action on R6 when they have supported it from the start and began what they called initially called a health programme and then Operation Health 12 months ago when they revealed the Skull Rain DC.
This thread is about Ubisoft caring or not. Obviously they do, and no amount of dislike for their games can cover that up; that is your issue here.
I am a RB6 player and I will tell you I can put that game down for a couple months, but I always come back to it. And as much as we trash Ubi they were the first company that I know of to give FREE DLC with RB6. I am hoping that GRWL PVP will compliment RB6. And I will definitely be buying AC origins.
Having been a heavy RB6 player for the first 3 months (Platinum 2 - Season 1 Ranked) and I really haven't picked it back up since I can't comment on what the game is like now. However the original release did have its fair share of bugs but releasing DLC content before fixing bugs does not constitute the basis on whether a company is caring for their community. Cosmetics, DLCs & addons are usually developed by a separate section than that of whom are working on fixing bugs and issues. Also a having new content released in a steady stream is a way that gamers know that the company is still supporting the community and the game so it is highly important (even if you don't like the micro-transactions yourself) to release both new paid and in-game currency cosmetics for game such as this. Fixing bugs and issues does take a certain priority and they certainly didn't iron out all the issues that were in the technical test and betas (wowsers was that awful at first) but it sure got better fast (before declining and making a rapid improvement again).Originally Posted by Flaw3dGenius23 Go to original post
I don't know how much time you put into R6 Siege yourself but since I was going through chemo at the time when the betas and technical test was going on I would say I conservatively put at least 100 hours into them and then it says I've only put 62 hours into MP (must have been a long time in the queue and disconnections) I definitely saw my fair share of glitches, bugs & unbalanced issues for which a lot of were addressed reasonably quickly. I'm not saying Ubisoft is a perfect company by any means but they certainly don't not care. They could care more but they do have a business to run so they do the a reasonable job with the assets they have at their disposal.
They care so much they let us play their game even if/when riddled with bugs and glitches, nobody else does that... that's how much they care about the community. Charging you money first is just because of different Countries legal policies but if it was up to them, they would let us have it for free![]()

I put months into the game but ultimately the amount of wall hacks and super sonic speed runners turned me off (it was getting worse every DLC) this was not a proper Rainbow Six game (there's not a single door in it ffs)Originally Posted by da stealth Go to original post
Oh yeah it's a business if i were them i'd be trying to screw every last cent out of you's as well! It's this strange look at them i have the problem with that Ubisoft loves us all and they are our friend that cares so much which is absolute nonsense! As i said previously all you and i are to them is $200
There you go again... don't say I did not warn you.Originally Posted by ROWEMEISTER Go to original post
Oh and I am not the one asking for the thread to be closed... just to be clear. I happened to agree that UBI does not care no matter how many ounces or perfumes and flowers people throw at it.
It's not a matter of being "friends" and "loving" us all etc etc. Why do you have to take the simple premise that a company cares about its customers - do you work, what does your company say about your customers? - and try and belittle it with hyperbole just to keep up the anti Ubisoft rhetoric?Originally Posted by Flaw3dGenius23 Go to original post
