I know I don't but it the excuse been thrown around here, and no, I don't think its funny either.Originally Posted by da stealth Go to original post
Why are we arguing Percentages here? does it really matter at the end of the day? Does it really matter if the AI sucked 25% before but it sucks 80% now based on the fact that the world is bigger? It surely does not to me... what matters is that the AI has sucked for 17 years and everyone seems to be ok with it as long as the world is huge, vast and beautiful.Originally Posted by da stealth Go to original post
Again, based on the More Content perception... more content does not translate into more fun, no matter how many percentages you throw at it.Originally Posted by da stealth Go to original post
I much rather have a LOT LESS content if more effort and quality is going to be put into the content instead of the standard "Rinse & Repeat - Copy & Paste" crap that seems to be the norm now.
I can't and won't worry about every game made, I only care about the games that I like. Now, being said that, people now a days are lowering their bar more and more, we are getting complacent and accepting mediocrity as long as we can have it now.Originally Posted by da stealth Go to original post
Acceptable flaws is a double edge sword because what is acceptable to you may not be to the other guy... otherwise we get what we have now where we eat the fact that the AI is flawed but we are ok because the game is still fun and the world is just too beautiful to pass up.
And here we go again. People jumping off a cliff and we're going to follow crowd? do you not think and believe that if we keep accepting this sucking type of God-Vision AI we will never have an AI that is worth while? 17 years ago it may had been ok because they didn't have the technology and it was on par with the graphics but I ask again... why does graphic technology has advance to this almost-real level but AI had actually taken a step backwards?Originally Posted by da stealth Go to original post
Now, All of these is coming from a mediocre gamer that plays ONLY Shooter Solo/Campaigns and does not care for either PvP or PvE. I play CoD and I get pissed because of the run and gun pressure they put me on but the game was NOT advertised as a Tactical Shooter. The same goes for BG & MoH. Now, wasn't Wildlands advertised as a Tactical Shooter? Wasn't advertise as a Ghost Recon Tactical Shooter? yes, yes it was so that is what I am expecting to play.
So I am supposed to "prove" what is going on inside someone else's head? <rolleyes>Originally Posted by da stealth Go to original post
The fact that nothing has been fixed is proof enough for me. I don't care what is going on inside their heads. The fact is that there are HUGE problems with the network and they have all been completely ignored. Maybe some people at Ubisoft technically "care," if you want to play semantics games, but it makes no difference if they aren't authorizing the needed fixes.
The proof is in the pudding.
Not one thing has ever been fixed or changed on the network since I got on there in March, with the exception of an additional button, "all weapons," which serves absolutely no purpose, since it provides stats for weapons that I don't have, i.e. it shows no stats for them, which is totally pointless. So someone took the time to add this pointless button, when they should have spent that time actually fixing something. That is inexcusable.Originally Posted by da stealth Go to original post
And no matter how many times the network has been down for maintenance, the same problems are always still there. Your suggestion that this "proves" that they care is ridiculous, and this "ergo, they care" thing is even more ridiculous.
Please reword your arguments to continue on with them.Originally Posted by SERPENT 1333 Go to original post
Ghost Recon NETWORK PATCH NOTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never heard anyone complain about any of those things, and that post was from way back in the spring.Originally Posted by Twigs_Dee Go to original post
Funny how they claim to fix the extremely rare problems that affect only a tiny percentage of people, but they ignore literally all of the big, obvious problems that affect everyone and make the network into a joke. The search engine is the worst I've ever seen on any website and is useless. Entire pages on there don't work at all and never have (e.g. "Reports").The rank insignia are wrong. Several achievements are broken. Notifications don't go away. Friends lists rarely load everyone, and sometimes they load no one at all. You can't tag many of your friends. Bookmarks don't work at all. "Top friends" doesn't load but a fraction of people. The invitations page doesn't work properly. The messaging system is terrible.
Need I go on? The fact is that very few things on the network actually work at all. It should win an award for the absolute worst website by a major corporation. It's a total disaster.
But go ahead and tell me again how they've been fixing things.... "ergo, they care". It will be good for a laugh... and it will let me know that you are totally nuts.
The reality is or could be that some issues seem to be bigger for some and not at all for others and the extremes are never good but it does not mean that we must accept mediocrity instead and be ok with it... let alone like it.
The more we continue to lower the bar or accept less and less options for gameplay because eyecandy is awesome, the more we are going to have a lesser game experience... Unless of course you like putting band-aids to your enjoyment.
This thread has become more about some of you going back and forth and insulting each other rather than anything constructive. Please remember to keep all posts civil and respectful. I'm fine with negative feedback here, but I'm not ok with you guys insulting each other.
Also, for those accusing Blue of only giving positive feedback, I can tell you from personal experience that when there is something he feels needs to be changed, he lets us know. He is not positive all the time, and when he sees an area of improvement, he IS vocal about it.
I just want to ask you all to please remember to be kind to each other. It's ok to disagree, but there are ways to do it without being rude.
I normally do not go into the "UBI can do no harm" posts or threads so I can't say this with 100% certainty but if you notice, the threads become toxic after one of the Guardians or fanbois attack a member for saying something about the game or UBI that the member does not like. I would probably say they do it so those threads get lock by CM or Moderators but imagine how the forum would look if us whiners/negative members were craping on them goodie two shoes posts or threads.
We're mostly man here so rude kinda goes with the territory but again, if instead of insulting a member for posting something the guardians and fanbois don't like they would post their thoughts on the subject there would be less rudeness.
Even though I am not completely satisfied with the game, I would agree it was/is well worth the price. .....the DLC is another story (I wish I would have bought it piece meal).Originally Posted by WID992007 Go to original post
There are not too many games where I thought I was legitimately ripped off. No Man's Sky is one that clearly stands out as the exception.
