    Defend: The King of the Hill (game mod)

    Have choose a map with a high ground point. (lets say for example the temple garden / with point A)

    Said high ground point must have 2 ladders,
    2 Teams of 4 players start the game just as in Dominion. With only that point to defend.
    Here's the catch (RULES):
    HERO SELECT RULES:
    1. Before the matchmaking starts, you pick a hero and only after that you will be put in the match making.
    2. The matchmaking should only make the teams based on factions. that means the teams will be comprised only of Knights Vikings or Samurais.
    3. The team shouldn't have 2 identical heroes. (no duplicate heroes).

    GAME RULES:
    1. Each ladder is specifically made for each team. The other team cant climb the other ladder.
    2. Once both teams reach the base of point A, only one player of each team can climb its respective team ladder. Once he reaches the top the ladder slightly goes up a little so no other team player can climb. Once up, you cant climb down (unless you are killed).
    3. In point A, there will be a 1v1 "King of the Hill" type match
    4. The rest of the teams go in a 3v3 match at the base of point A, to defend the hill.
    5. Once one of the players in the 1v1 match wins the duel, the loosing team ladder lowers so that another hero (and only one hero) can climb.
    6. The point of the 1v1 duel will be to conquer the hill and get its respective points once the enemy is defeated.
    7. The point of the 3v3 match at the base will be to win the chance to climb the ladder and !v1. You don't need to kill all 3 players to climb the ladder if the possibility to climb arrives.
    8. The hill will regenerate life, only to the point that the character reaches its respective half health pool and only after the enemy is defeated.
    9. At the base of the hill there should be only one heal spot, so that only one character at a time can regenerate his life, up to full health.
    10. Points will be received in the fallowing manner: 2p/s, only when you win the Hill; 1p/k, when you kill a hero, both on the hill and at the base.
    11. The total points to win a match would be 2000.

    I think this is a good way of combining 1v1 with a new 3v3/4v3 matches, with strong emphasis on defending a point, while at the base the disadvantaged team would be the defending team (the one that has a team mate on the hill), and then the defending team gets a chance to keep defending the hill if someone manages to reach it either by killing all of the base heroes, either by snicking past the defending team.

    just so no one start posting salty comments yes. I did comment on my own thread so I could give it another chance at discussion. I think that I taught of a pretty nice combo of 1v1 and 3v3 and could like opinions even if they won't use none of what I said

    I think a king of the hill game mode would be really cool, but I think your idea is a bit too convoluted... It seems too much like smashing 1v1 together with 4v4. I think it would be better if it was simply teams defending a single point. The ladders seem like an iffy idea. I mean, whenever you go up a ladder to challenge the 'king of the hill' he'll be waiting at the ladder to wack you while you're in the recovery frames of getting off the ladder. (Unless they're honorable. HAHAHAHAHAHA, fat chance). Also, mysterious floating ladders. :P

    The healing spots sound unnecessary too... Just have the health power-ups.

    I think the mode would work best if two teams just had to keep a majority of people within the zone without it being contested. You get bonus person when someone is in the spot, like when boosting an area in dominion except you get a boost per player, rather than just a flat boost regardless of the number of players. The trade off would be that all the power-ups would be near the hill but not on the hill, so you had to tactically decide when to go heal or when to get an attack boost over adding score to the pool. That way the losing team would have more access to the power-ups while the winning team is trying to hold out against buffed enemies. You could also make it so that the respawn delay is longer for the winning team. Giving the losing team the advantage so they can gain ground back.

    well i tryed to think of something new so it would be original to for honor. not a basic king of the hill where 4 players defend the point and there would be a quick masacre from wich you wont understand anything because of the randiom attacks trown in all directions.

    as for the

    well thats why the poerson from the defending point is left with only half of its life because some players can be cheap... as for what if a player with low healt goes up the ladder? well... he has no business there if he can die from one hit (or he can try on his choice) basicaly this would encourage team play more than any other game mod in 4H because, you have to work as a team to defeat the 3 players at the bottom of the ladder, and be carefull of who goes up the ladder.

    about the misteriously floating ladder remark, funny ) but cmon. its a game...
