update caused C4 to randomly deploy in response to other commands

    Hi there,

So, i got the update yesterday and have been enjoying the new 'Tier 1' update. only problem is, its brought a couple of glitches with it.

My main concern is the C4. when switching ordnance (from mine to grenade, for example, but applies to all) i will regularly just randomly drop a C4 - sometimes with a delay - even if i dont actually have any C4 left.

My character will also call out a dialog related to whatever ordnance i have just selected (to reuse the example, he will shout 'grenade out!' then pop a cheeky C4 down)

    not very helpful.

it will also happen when recalling my drone, switching weapons, or activating a command such as calling for a vehicle drop.

another (smaller) issue im having is if i swap weapons on the fly, several times today my character has just sat where he is miming a weapon (with nothing actually in his hands) for up to about 10 seconds. this isnt just the mesh not loading, but it will not allow me to aim, fire, or swap to another weapon in that time, which isnt particularly desirable while being charged by a dozen angry cartel henchmen.

other than that, loving the latest update, but if this could be sorted out, that would be grand

    cheers guys, game on!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the update, alij331!

The C4 situation is certainly a strange one. Do you happen to have video footage of this taking place that I can share along to the team for you?

I can report the C4 issue as well. But I think I pinpointed what causes it to happen. This is on PC.

Namely, I use the gamepad for controlling vehicles, but mouse+keyboard for controlling the ghost when I'm on foot. I noticed that my character is dropping a C4 whenever I switch from using the gamepad to using M+K. For example, I drive a car, I stop, I hold X (X360 gamepad) to get out of the car, then I move the mouse to start moving the character - BAM, C4 is thrown.

The same thing happens when switching from gamepad to M+K even without getting out of the car.

Can also confirm the C4 issue. I usually use controller for everything and only use keyboard if I need to select a specific gadget (grenade, C4, landmine, etc.)
and I'll throw C4 usually just after getting into a truck turret or getting out of a truck from the times I can remember.
The issue stopped appearing when I stopped using the keyboard for gadget selection and used only the controller.
Currently I'm also switching to only the mouse to aim the truck turret and so far I've not had any unexpected C4.

Same. I even had my character deploy C4 while flying a chopper. Needless to say that didn't end too well. :P

    HI :Ludix,

    See this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp58lSGvaik

PLEASE NOTE: Shadowplay didn't pick up my voice so there is a lack of explaining of what is going on. I'll try to get more since it WILL happen again multiple times.

I run into this situation ever y night multiple times, and my friends don't; my friends also do not have the C4 ability unlocked. The other night the problem was so bad I ended up throwing over 7 C4 over a few minutes, even though I only have 2, and had 0 at the time on me due to a mission. I thought i had captured the moment with ShadowPlay, but it wasn't running due to a service change I made to it. So even if you don't have C4 remaining, it will still get thrown. It seems to get triggered by exiting vehicles, parachuting, sometimes when laying down and standing back up, getting revived, or fast traveling.

To me, the main issue is not C4 randomly getting thrown. The main issue is the inability to shoot until your character will allow you to do so, followed by the inability to take off/put on the silencer, and unable to climb at all. The gun problem where I am unable to shoot as it floats can last from seconds up to two minutes. I have fixed the issue by quitting to the main menu, but when it happens as much as this, that is not a viable remedy. I can confirm that when the problem does occur, using another input device doesn't help at all--as I remain unable to climb, etc.

I can relate to this one as well. C4 would be thrown out of nowhere.

Thank you guys so much for the responses. The links and additional details are a major help, robb_z. Just for clarification's sake, everyone here is playing on PC, correct?

I'm going to make the team aware of this occurrence, but ask that you all please also submit a ticket on this to Ubi Support. Doing so will help us out a great deal and will go a long way towards documenting and tracking the situation overall.

Same here. Using Keyboard for Ghosts and X-Box Controler for Vehicles. Play on PC, windows 10.
