I've been flying the 109G6/AS lately. I like it a lot. If you use manual prop pitch all the time you can keep it from over heating and its quite fast and has decent handling. I use it with the 108 nose cannon, and i'm having a hard time figuring out lead. Due to the muzzle flash problem I can't tell where my tracers are going at all. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on figuring out the lead for this plane. I have decent aim in other planes, but its hard in this bird.

Quite simple really.Don`t open fire until in range 100-50m.

The Mk-108, while powerful, suffers from a pronounced bullet drop due to the slow muzzle speed of the bullet (caused by the short barrel). So, to aim with this beast, you'll need to provide more than the usual lead when attempting to get firing solutions. You might want to try the Wonder Woman view so you can see the bullet drop.

Sometimes, you'll have to put so much lead into a shot, that you won't be able to see the guy you're trying to shoot.

Someone around here said that the MK108 is less of a cannon and more of a grenade thrower. I've used that analogy when firing the cannon and it works much better that way.

Get bloody close before you fire and then spray them with it.

30mm ,U can hit well with it up to about 400m but it surely seems more effective on shorter ranges the less the better.

I often go for longdistance deflection shots.

In qmbuilder the enemyplanes behave a bit oddly
so the only place to practice longdistance deflection is online.

I guess u have watched my onlinetracks and read the tactics its all there?

yes, wait until the plane fills the target. if you can hold your horses a few rounds will break the opponent target in half or a wing off. its very powerful. But only patience is needed. its my favourite too. But have you noticed how the la-5 and la7 turn so much better and have greater speed. The bf109 is 1930â´s design which has been updated over the years.

think that Mk108 is the best nose cannon in-game... Mk108 is even better than cobra's cannon 'cause of recoil (that's maybe because i'm use to it )

don't like nose cannons very much. Prefer wing mounted guns. Fires nicer for me!

I know closer is better, but sometimes it isn't an option. I do get good hits from far off, but someimtes I just dont know if I'm hitting at releatively close while turning hard. I played for a while last night and had ~10% hits (which is high for me) so I guess I'm not doing too bad. I was just wondering if the aces here had any advice that I wasn't thinking of.

Do you mean the stuff you post on gg? I read most, but I don't recall any 109 nose cannon tracks.
