    [FEEDBACK] Tournament Mode

So, after a couple of days of playing I'm ready to give my two cents on this mode.
I'll try to be brief, for the readers' sake.

    WHAT I LIKED:

    • Ranks
Well, it's the classic "I've got a bigger sword than yours" system - and finally we've got a proper MM, even though it's a bit rough atm.

    • Tournament feeling
You don't have time to join one of the community tournament? Do you prefer a more casual competition? The tournament mode delivers.

    • Improved UI \Menu system
You can now navigate the menu while in matchmaking.

    WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE

    • Lobby system
Getting stuck in the lobby for half an hour wondering why nothing is happening might be a little anticlimatic, expecially during the playoff phases.
This whole ordeal gets boring really fast - double that for the streamers and their viewers
      Nobody likes Lobby Simulators.

SUGGESTION: Since For Honor is p2p based, a free-for-all mode a la Overwatch while matchmaking might not be possible. What could be possible (speculations, speculations) is having a spectator mode (or something similar) to watch other people play. Just watching, without interacting with the enviroment\minions, should be more feasible performance-wise, am I correct?

    • Rank Progression system
Currently losing a match will gut your rank, while winning rewards you with little-to-nothing. Is it supposed to be like this?

SUGGESTION: Well, it still needs tunings.

    • Tie handling
Right now, I can win a round and start running around the map, repeatedly forcing a tie, until I've reached the last round to get a free win.

SUGGESTION: It really depends on what instruments do you have to mointor\track\manipulate the gameflow. I don't want details and I know you can't tell us "oh, hey, this function does this and this other fucntion does that", but still some info might be appreciated.

    • Map Locations
Enviroment hazards are ok, but some locations offer a noticeable advantage to the most CC oriented heroes.
It's all fun and games in casual matches, but ledgecamping in ranked mode might degenerate into an actual salt mine.

SUGGESTION: just find different spots and change the spawns.

That's really everything I've got to say about the current iteration of ranked mode, as there's not much to talk about untill the main issues of the game get sorted out.
Lastly, I'd like to address Roman and his team. I know he doesn't read this forum, but still - devs seem really active in the community, so it doesn't hurt trying:

I'd really like for you guys to know that the whole competitive community is ready to help whenver you need it.
This game has got tons of issues balancing-wise, issues that are likely to kill For Honor if they stay unaddressed.
Please, listen to them, listen to us. I can list you at least 10 people who could give you insights of where you should look and what you should do to get this game back on its feet. Everyone of them has spent hundreds of hours in playing and creating content for their favourite game, this game, without asking anything in return, driven only by their passion.

Couldn't you - as developers - do an actual conversation with these guys, explaining them what is going on?

Thanks for the great suggestions and feedback! We will most definitely want to closely evaluate how ties work and progression system as well. And as for the maps and spawn locations, environmental kills, etc, we will be looking at those numbers as well. If you have other PT feedback we'd love to hear it - and if you've got more general hero-balance suggestions feel free to post in General/Feedback + suggestions about it and share it with us!
