Hi all! Didn't see a thread for suggestions on this forum, so here is a thread for just that!
I'll start off with the good I'm seeing in the Duel tournament and then get to the suggestions.
Good:
1. Classic tournament structure. Gives some familiarity. Much fighting. Sweet battles.
2. Fights against players felt balanced so far. (Played against a beginner, a player on par with my skill, and then a person who utterly trounced me all in the same single bracket.)
3. The breaks in between were about a minute long, which was a breather in between matches. That flow felt good!
Suggestions:
1. So reaching the semifinals, I lost to the person who trounced me earlier. Then I'm sitting there with the other warrior for a few minutes till the results come in. This suggestion spawned from this waiting around in the single pool tourney: having an option to have one more duel with the semi-finalist. The semi-finalists can choose to have another duel, or leave and get on with whatever they want to do with no harm done. You can have the incentive be 100-200 steel for the warriors that fight.
2. That announcer. Yikes. If you lose, he trash talks you. If you win, he sucks up to you. This guy I feel needs to go or step up his game. Rubbing salt into the wounds makes even more salt and can affect some players negatively. The sucking up? Yeah, that just makes me feel slimy for winning. So the suggestion is: either change it to the more neutral/positive comments only, or get rid of that guy after he announces if you have won or lost. Don't need to make an even larger amount of salt. I feel it could make it even harder for new players to want to stay if they are constantly getting ridiculed after they lose. Or getting slimed worse than a Nickelodeon contestant for getting that sweet success.
