    Shugoki problems

If the shugoki player is guardbroken, even if he counters it, will take away his uninterruptible stance. Good players will take advantage of this and make his stance basically useless. Also, centurions charged heavy lunge will go straight through his stance, when it shouldn't. As a shugoki main, I've lost many battles because of this so is this (both) intended?

I believe they are... I can understand why on GB, as getting a GB would be reduced to nothing more than a damage trade with Shugoki. Kind of makes getting a GB on a Shugoki pointless... You're just going to take a smack from him in retaliation for getting a successful GB. Makes the getting the GB a punish for you as well as him. As for the Centurion charged heavy technically it DID land and is pinning him like it's supposed to... however I disagree with this working. It's double punishment, and totally makes Shugoki's only trick up his sleve (the armour) completely pointless. It works on everything really as long as it lands. Hyper armour, revenge, etc.

Is this really a problem? You know most of us have to try to hit people without an uninterruptible stance?

It's a problem because an integral part of the class mechanic is too easily taken away even when you didn't make any mistake. It's no excuse at all if you were hit by GB and failed to CGB it, or hit by an attack -- but a GB attempt is something anyone can spam without too big of a penalty. It doesn't mean anything in other instances where a class doesn't have anything to lose and can just CGB it, but for the Shug it means losing a 25% damage resistance, as well as losing the tool that makes it possible to "trade punches" -- the only possible tactic for a shug since the Shug only has 2 real attack skills to fight with.

Imagine for example... hmm.. the PK loses her dodging speed/distance and turns into a shugokiu level slow-arse dodges for a short time whenever someone just even attempts to GB her, or if the conq loses his/her superior block and just becomes a normal block that can't stop heavies when someone just attempts to GB.

The core class mechanic is canceled by an unsuccessful attack attempt from the enemy.. that's not very fair.

Yeah but if you couldn't gb to do that how do get through. Then every hit you land would be met by a gb from the Shugo throwing you against a wall and hugging you or home running you or it would be met by another attack and it would be dumb to be punished every time you land an attack. Then it should work like berserker's or warlord's armor and make the attacks uninterruptable and not the Shugo itself without giving the opponent any chance to take it away.

I actually agree with you completely. Don't know if I misunderstood the original post (I was reading it while busy at work) but to me it seemed like he was referring to all GBs rather than just unsuccessful ones (maybe he is). Successful ones are fine, but I agree that uninterruptible stance shouldn't be removed by an unsuccessful GB.

But you rarely get a succesful gb without parry and against Shugo the gb is not guaranteed because of the distance, plus the devs are changing the way you get a gb in the future. Unless you are using a fast character able to take away the stance and hit fast enough before Shugoki's response how would you land an attack without being punished?

The UI doesn't stop GBs. It's simply a matter of removing the UI upon a successful GB, not on just the GB attempt itself.

But what I'm saying is that you don't get a gb that easily because you have to parry and with Shugo it depends on distance, also when the defensive meta patch arrives which Roman say they are gonna take away gb from parry then how do you through the stance unless your character is very fast.
