[PC]After GeForce Update Tonight Game Won't Load | Forums

Hello,

Just bought, installed and successfully played Watch Dogs 2 for the past week. I love it!

However, tonight I installed the new GeForce driver (384.76) released on 06/28/17 and now the game will not load. Uplay will load and the game's launch screen shows. It then goes black, I can hear game sound and then it crashes.

I have tried:

- uninstall (from device manage) display adapter drivers
- ran a clean install of the drivers

- uninstalled and reinstalled the game

- ran uplay as admin
- ran game in windows 7 compatibility mode.

Anyone have a fix for this?

downgraded driver to 382.53

game works for me after that

Yep! 384.76 nvidia driver is not compatible with WD2. At least on Win7

Doesn't work on Win 10 either. I rolled back the driver yesterday, then saw a story saying the new driver worked and what do you know? It doesn't.
