While I believe his statement may be a little extreme, I do feel like we have been "lied" to on several occasions as the devs continue to push out more content that drags the game further down down into the rabbit hole. @tyrjo
Why is it bad to hold a company to its word? I've seen them bald face lie to people directly over their Warrior's Den. I've seen them answer questions that a 5 year old asked, while leaving the major questions out in the cold with no response or acknowledgement. Actions like these SHOULD be unacceptable. Where are the samurai buffs that were talked about as "coming very soon" that have just been forgotten? Where is the stability they said they would have when they decided they would go with the p2p model? These are just a few instances where they have made themselves liars.
I get that people find the antics of the Warriors den to be humorous. Not really my cup of humor, the whole snide while we don't really do anything, is more childish to me then funny. If this were a middle school group project, I could understand their "Hahas" and "hehes" towards people's questions. But to have a AAA company throw gangsta shades on while blantantly ignoring the cancers that plague this game, shows me that there really is no hope for this game.
If everything is a joke, then the whole game/studio is laughable. From the connection issues to the matchmaking, from the bugs to the "unintended techs" it's all just one big joke. They really need to step back and look at the whole situation. Are there some salty people in this world? Of course, and there's a good portion here. But not EVERYONE who brings up this games faults is just salty because they lost.
There are plenty of people on this forum that have given their time/effort/money and even sanity to this game, that only bring up the negatives in hopes that they'll bring the game back to something that's at least playable. And what do they get? None of their questions answered, and some snide attitude to go along with it.
This should be UNACCEPTBALE. At no point have they hit a timeline that THEY set. Look, if your late to an appointment once in a blue moon, no biggie. Show up late on several occasions to said appointment and I'll garuntee you won't be making another one, and not because you don't want to restrict yourself, but because the person on the other end of the appointment is ready to kill you for wasting their time on more then 1 occasion.
You also have to remember, people paid money and some even bought steel packs for a game that was advertised as a full game, but was really a closed beta test that people have paid for. Say what you want, environmental deaths and freeze screens get handled before coming out of beta, and until they fix these issues, it will forever be an open beta game that people have had to pay premium price for.
So yeah, we've been lied to. Yeah, the community is a little salty because of it. That doesn't really mean Ubi or the DEV team get to use that as an excuse to not set dates and then not meet the deadlines that they themselves set. I mean hell, we were told yesterday that "a full dev team is fully committed to this game" ..... which again, is either a lie or they are paying children to code because the amount of time that it's taking them to fix the core issues of the game, is unheard of. 6 months down the road and people are still dropping 8/10 games on a solid internet connection and the 2 games they do complete have a chance at freezing at the end. That's a closed beta game, that's not even open to the public for test purposes yet in most cases.
