I know some things like balance changes take longer to code and test and debate, but this seems like a very simple solution to flicker. I know I am definitely not the first person to suggest this, but I don't understand why it hasn't been done. At least on Xbox, just put zone on left bumper and move quick chat to the D-pad or clicking the right stick. Flicker solved, as far as I can tell.

D- pad = feats, so that wouldn't work.
Can't be the left stick as that's sprint.
I can see the right stick working as a new zone button, because I agree that the zone can be an issue... all the time I press RB and RT at same time and my zone doesn't happen. But the right stick could cause issues with the aiming in whatever direction and could be pressed accidentally more often.

I forgot about feats. But I would put zone on the left bumper and then move chat to the right stick, since you don't really use that mid-combat much, and clicking it once to call for help only takes a moment. The point of this isn't really to make zone easier to perform, although I suppose it would do that, but it's to eliminate flicker.
