Hello, so I know that there are plans to change rogue mechanic for 1.8 and who knows what else...this is not about that or weapon/gear balancing.
What I would like to see is the DZ to be the most dangerous place with the best loot again. Just a few simple changes in 1.7 maybe?
1. Bring every exotic to the loot table. And I mean every named boss, every locked DZ cache, every supply drop etc. would have a chance to drop any exotic item. Do not sell exotics at terminal. Flood the DZ with them so we are excited to kill the AI in there.
2. Simultaneously make a place in the LZ for every item thats now exclusive to DZ so there are no whines about that.
3. Raise contaminated bag cap to 15 items and DZ stash size to 90 (if possible).
4. Make more sources for gaining DZ keys.
The RNG is still enormous and seeing all exotics in DZ would make me want to farm there again (well even to start the game more than once a week)...not do things in LZ over and over again, it becomes really boring doing same mission even few times a week.
Just a thought for quick little improvement...ofc I want balance and mechanics improvement too, hopefully in 1.8.
Who else would want this? Make DZ what it was supposed to be...give incentive to farm gear there again.

Hallfrom..why? I have nothing against improving LZ...I even wrote make every exotic accessible in LZ (which most of them already are + many ways to get exotic cache).
The DZ loot lacks them...I dont think any of that would make players leave.
I am too more of a PvE player, but I like farming DZ and surviving the danger...now there is nearly nothing to farm in DZ.
I think there needs to be loot incentive. The value is already not that high, most are trash and even the good ones are trash with the RNG. I just dont want to do legendaries and incursions on 4 characters every week, in fact I have never done all of them in 1 week on a single character. When I start the game now, I do 1-2 missions, some HVT, few DZ extractions and maybe some UG or 1 survival. DZ simply has to offer everything, notice - not exclusive and with reasonable drop rate (not like gear sets). It would help imo.

DZ needs an overhaul, not more of the same.
Reintroduce certain blueprints to the DZ vendors that needed a certain DZ rank before they could be purchased. DZ rank means nothing now. There is nothing to aim for in the DZ now.
Make the penalty for dying as a rogue really punishing and I mean 'really punishing' so it acts as a deterrent. The hardcore players will still go rogue.
Make smart cover worth using again to encourage the use of cover as this lead to some truly epic battles in the past. All we get now is a quick 2 minute fight (at best) running in circles and this game play limits the weapon choices.
There's also an issue of getting the dreaded loading whilst trying to sprint in the DZ and more so in Last Stand. How about removing some of the assets from the area. Losing some boxes, some body bags, shopping trolleys etc would reduce the load on the servers. I'm sure players would prefer a smoother game play experience at the expense of some of the graphical extras. I know a few of those cardboard boxes that must be made of concrete and stop you dead rather than being moved when you run into them wouldn't be missed either.
Thats all great, but I wrote this is not about content, balance, rogue mechanics etc. Simply I want the loot incentive there. I want to clear a landmark and have a chance to see any exotic drop from boss. I want open DZ cache and have a chance to see exotic there too. Whats wrong with that?
Nothing else...I know there needs and hopefully will be some overhaul, but now there is no reason why exotics should not drop there, when they drop all over LZ.
make the non-rogué players loose xp and keys another time. Sometimes it is frustating get rogué and kill 4 times all the other players, and last one kills you cause you don't have medkits or ammo. It's a contious wave of White players respawning without fear to die. Now nobody wants to get rogué.
or at least give points, xp and funds for killing White players.

Normal PVE player would have noticed that the NPCs in the "easy zone" are too thick. I do not consider it normal that they have 10-20 million health.
About the dark zone ... Well, I do not see it as a threat to a rogue. If you shoot first in the back, then the threat is questionable.
The real danger? Turn on the friendly fire and to hell the system of crooks. If everyone is hostile initially, that will be REALLY DANGEROUS!
