Ban Centurion From 4v4 Gamemodes Until The Nerf.

    Title.

Centurion absolutely ruins the game for everyone else. You can either keep the game un-enjoyable for everyone that plays every character but Centurion, or you can ban Centurion temporarily and ruin it for only the people who play Centurion. Honestly I'm astounded Centurion got through as is, and I'm glad that you're addressing how broken he is, but something needs to be done now.

I haven't played the game in a couple weeks now, it just got tiresome having to watch a cutscene character kill me and hit me with broken tracking. I can still win more often than not but it just felt like a chore since I had to use every ounce of skill I had while other players could just spam the cheapest characters and get an easy kill. They honestly need to fix this character like now, no more needing data or waiting for non pass holders. I don't have a pass and when I got my 15,000 currency I got Shinobi. And because of the frustration of the game I haven't been back so I'm likely not going to get the Cent, I'm probably not the only person like this. They have enough data by now, I'm starting to think they don't know how to fix him.

Honestly, just remove his features. Have his hits either stun or be unblockable or take stamina but not both and definitely not combined as one ability. You shouldn't be able to string together unblockables like him or stun or knockdown as easily as he does. No other character can do both those things with such minimal effort , if you want him to knock people down fine then take away his leaping attack. If you want him to stun fine but don't link it with a knockdown. It's literally the moves they gave him don't work in a fair fighting environment. His biggest issue is when he goes into this cutscene and youre getting stunned knocked down and hit all the time you lose all your stamina and he loses hardly any of his. Maybe if he was just as tired as you after all those hits it wouldn't be so bad. But you're tired and stunned and he hasnt broken a sweat so you can't counter very quickly. He has the stamina of a cross country runner, the boxing ability of Andre Ward, the leaping ability of Lebron James and he has broken tracking.

He just is not fair for anyone and he is so commonly used. How can he be the best offensive character in the game by far and not have any discernible weakness on defense? I'm fine with Shinobi on offense being super hard to defend because his defense is so so weak. But the Cent has nothing you can point to as a clear weakness that offsets his offensive ability. I keep checking the forums hoping to hear something good about balance and I know there will always be people complaining but so long as its a new complaint every time I know the game is at least changing and trying to fix things. But it's just the same thing constantly which makes it so clear nothing is being fixed. And so many other games out there fix their issues so quickly while it feels like Ubisoft takes forever to do anything. Just do something! Anything! Just take a risk and see if it fixes the issue otherwise the issue won't be gameplay, it will be no more players.

Another move idea for him is to remove his charged heavy unblockable. He and Shugoki are the only two guys with a heavy attacks that can be charged into and unblockable, but Shugoki cant really combo with his. He just has to start swinging practically from a standstill which gives the opponent some time to adjust. However the Cent can do his charge up in middle of an assault, this gives the Cent an unfair timing advantage that no other character has or has the tools to consistently counter. If the move had no charge up feature which means it operated with the same timing everytime like a normal heavy that would fix a lot about his unstoppable assault. It could operate either as just a quicker heavy which is still cool or a consistent unblockable that just comes out a little slower than other heavies. But it has to be one or the other. That consistency would allow people to adapt to his moves and actually engage in a fair fight. Part of the reason people can't escape him ,other than having no stamina and being stunned all the time, is that his moves seem to have no consistent timing or tracking. Perhaps simplifying how that heavy stab works would fix some of the tracking problems since it would have some consistency to it?

It's not as bad as it used to be because more people are going back to their other heroes that they played pre season 2, but it's still pretty frustrating getting smashed by two centurions at once. If they are even half decent that the game, you have no chance.

Agree, the moment you got two centurions in dominion or skimirsh the match is pretty much over.

If they won't nerf him because they care more about his 1v1 viability than the health of the game this would be a good band-aid fix until they get their collective heads out of their a**es and realize they've spent too long on trying to fix him without affecting 1v1 and at this point just have to nerf him, 1v1 be damned. Every day they fail to address this issue more players are turned away and they are less and less likely to return.

Its not an easy fix to change him in 4v4 without ruining him 1v1, in 1v1 he's mediocre at best. I have no idea how they will do it besides a Brawl style hero lock.

I know, and what I'm saying is that if they haven't figured out a way to do that yet, they need to bite the bullet and nerf him anyway. And then buff him later via incremental changes. His 1v1 viability is not more important than the overall health of the game in 4v4.
