Hmm, I agree with some parts but not with others...Originally Posted by DrExtrem Go to original post
It's pretty crap at the moment in terms of balance and technical issues. I would disagree on the controls, they've always been pretty solid in my opinion. I also think that a lot of the patches have been for the better. The Valk, lawbringer and raider buffs were all good, as was the shinobi kick nerf.
I think the connectivity issues won't be fixed. I mean... they've been working on it all this time and none of their patches that were supposed to improve it have made any noticeable difference. Since they continue to refuse to get dedicated servers I sincerely doubt that they'll ever make progress on this. To be honest it might be something as simple as a lack of money that's stopping them. I mean, servers are expensive, so if they've used up their budget for the game then perhaps Ubisoft won't actually let them buy dedicated servers...
The balance issues are kinda in the air at the moment. Like I said earlier, the big defense meta patch is supposed to be a gift from the balance god himself. So I'm going to hold out until that arrives and then decide whether the game is salvageable or not.
I honestly believe the dev team is working it's hardest to fix the game and make it what it should have been but they've just got so much work to do and their community isn't patient enough to wait more than 3-4 months for a fix. I actually feel kinda sorry for them fighting this losing battle, trying to make the game they worked so hard on for the last however many years the game it was supposed to be.
Well. We have discussed the tons of bugs, exploits and imbalances to death.Originally Posted by Gemoroda Go to original post
Discussing them anymore, is a waste of time.

Let me guess. You are playing on PC right?
All adjustments have been made to please PC players. They improved the PC controls - without a doubt. The adjustments made to the valk in example, were based on PC problems - on console she was fine. Not op, not crap - ok. The adjustments made her top-tier on console, only topped by pk.
The controls on console are a mixed bad. Usually they work but too often, they fail to work. Instead of a light-heavy combo, the avatar performs a zone attack. You want to do a shoulder charge and instead, you either dash or try to gb. This happens too often on console.
Yeah, you're absolutely right, I'm on the PC. I had no idea that console players had these issues. I figured the controls would just be the same. (I play with a controller on the PC).Originally Posted by DrExtrem Go to original post
Well, I guess the guy made a valid point then.
I couldn't agree more! It does indeed keep getting worse and not better.Originally Posted by DrExtrem Go to original post
I really tried to persist with this game, I really did. However, getting repeatedly kicked from games I'm winning is frustrating as Hell. Being stun locked through my Revenge activation and the ganked to death, doubly so. If it was a rare occurrence, I could perhaps forgive. It's happening virtually every game I play, so I simply can't.
Not to mention the painfully slow drip feeding of content. Especially game modes, this must be the fewest I've ever seen in a multiplayer game. The game needs a fair few more team objective based activities to do. It's not even got the most basic modes, like capture the flag.
The ranked 'tournament mode' isn't fooling me either. It's just a way they can claim to have added something when they've not really added anything. Also, the game is nowhere near ready for ranked.
It's one thing to make people thirsty for large instalments of content. It's another to drip feed it so slowly that it doesn't satiate, and they die off from dehydration.
