Hey everyone.
Like most of you I guess, I've been watching several gameplay impressions of FC5, and some developer commentary. In one of these, the player was sniper from a building and a few ennemies were trying to shoot back at him. One cult member did get my attention though. The whole thing was not highlited but the guy actually falled after being hit, and was screaming in pain behind some kind a fence. And while the player was killing others, one of the wounded man's comrades come to help and heal him. Then he was able to fight standing like before.
In FC2, ennemies were able to heal themselves, and wounded were carried by others. Such things may be the proof of a possible limping/wounded state for the ennemy, which is great. Have you seen this too and what do you think about it? (sorry if this was mentioned earlier elsewhere).
I noticed that to and pointed it out in an old thread but since I didn't want to double post and instead just edited my last comment it wasn't bumped back to the front page.

E3 Demo at battlemap.net
I did a write up after I got home from E3, did it over at battlemap.net
Link at the top, feel free to browse through it, I highlighted some of the things I liked with images from videos on youtube.
Don't think it was in FC4 that I remember, need to check but certain weapons in FC5 you can switch from single shot to burst to full auto.
Feel free to use anything from that article at battlemap.
Nice write up, I just skimmed through the whole thing. Glad to hear rock throwing is indeed in there. What was the button to do it in the demo? It looked as though 3 buttons were dedicated to GFH so I didn't know how it'd work. Your article seems to suggest that you can only have 1 GFH at a time but I think that was just for demo purposes as I recall hearing or reading that in the full game you can have all 3 at once as they do in the official gameplay trailer. Also nice to see the addition of switchable fire-modes, but it didn't look like there was a syringe wheel by tapping a bumper so I'm curious if they'll return.
That image above from a video shows two working at the same time do I say Guns for Hire Nick in the plane and Fangs for Hire Boomer.
Off the top of my head I can't remember what throws the stone - same as before is it the D-Pad Up ? (I am sure whatever I used on PS4 or XB1 it's the same in FC5 on the controller)
As for the syringe not sure, I honestly can't remember sorry (it was a crazy week, still struggling to get over the jet lag and my head is in bits with a cold)
I did get healed by Grace when I was down injured, there was this cling to life feature, thought I had to keep tapping X on the PS4 controller but instead I think I held the button down and a circular shape filled up then she came over and picked me up.
In one of the pre-order packs there are things called consumables, unsure what they are.
Will ask the other guys if any of them used a syringe to heal themselves and let you know when one gives an answer![]()
Every time I see a still shot or a video of enemies with the little red triangle floating above their heads I think of Conoco gas stations. Is it possible to turn that crap off in the game? Who likes this stuff anyway? I just don't get how so much effort is put into visual accuracy and yet you have these major distractions built into the game that offsets that same effort. In real life you would likely have a lot of trouble keeping track of who's who...especially in a fire fight. Why not allow that in the game as well?
Sorry man I just can't remember, still all over the place with a cold and waking up at stupid times - can't get back into my time zone.Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
All I can say is I used it a handful of times (throwing the rocks) it worked fine but I found the animation a little odd, before it did it straight away this time it felt like it wasn't going to happen or the rock was too big or an odd shape - Can't explain this but it was all fine once thrown and the A.I. reacted as they should.
Wish I had paid more attention to the controls and what I was doing - so yeah rock throwing is in there but can't remember which button it was.![]()
Yeah not a huge deal, I just got curious about it seeing the videos and it looking as though the GFH are going to occupy the left/down/right d-pad buttons so I wanted to be sure we still have a button for rock throwing because it is something I employ a lot in my playstyle...
