Some of you may be aware that this game exists. I'll be the first to admit that it is not without its own list of problems, however it was a kickstarter project that has come into fruition. Gun Media is a very small development team, with a limited amount of funds/resources, that is putting in their earnest of efforts into making this game playable and enjoyable;
I implore those of you that are losing patience and hope that For Honor will someday be a stable, playable and enjoyable game, make the switch to this game for now. I truly hope they put out demo versions of this game for those who are up against the fence about it and for those who may be unfamiliar with this genre of horror. It's fun, suspenseful and highly addicting to play.
It's been a long time since I've found a multiplayer game that's been this much fun. As I said there are some issues and I will note them below:
- Graphics are so-so
- I read that there are dedicated servers, but in my experience it's been a P2P experience. The host leaves and the game crashes.
- The kill animations still need work, sometimes bodies will just fly up in the air and get launched away from you.
- Some players are straight up jerks and will betray you, that betrayal comes with a -200 XP penalty to the offending player.
My advice to making this game more enjoyable is to make friends in the game, people you know that won't rage quit when they're the host. I play with 3 buddies of mine, when one of us is the host our sessions will last hours.
I post this as a remedy to those that frustrated with For Honor. It'll show you that smaller companies with a limited amount of funds are able to work and provide improvements in a prompt manner.
